i heard that the gondolas will seat up to 10 people. Can you ride by yourself or are they going to fill them??
Hadn't even thought about people wanting to do that. But I'm sure somehow it will happen. The used to occur with people waiting to ride in the front of the monorail. That was so much fun.It will be interesting to see how they handle people that want to wait to ride in the Mickey/Minnie car, or in the Star Wars car, or in the GotG car, or...
I would expect it to be like the monorail car. You may only be one person, but they will fill the car with others if they are waiting.
Cabin capacity is 10, not 20.I travel solo a lot, and maybe I'm a little over-cautious, but I'm a little uncomfortable about being way up in there by myself with a car full of 19 strangers. At least on the monorail, there are other cars and CMs nearby, so if anything happens, and I scream, someone will hear me and maybe be able to help. Back in the days of the MK skyway, I can remember traveling solo on that and the CMs always gave me my own car. However, I do agree completely with the poster who mentioned waiting in line and seeing a half full gondola being let go-how upset she'd be. I don't blame her at all. I just don't know the answer.
Skyway was an attraction; gondola is transportation. I genuinely can't see them putting just one person in a unit. It's entirely inefficient.Back in the days of the MK skyway, I can remember traveling solo on that and the CMs always gave me my own car.

Disney Skyliner is an all-new transportation experience set to debut this fall at Walt Disney World Resort. Testing of the system’s nearly 300 guest cabins and other elements is well underway, and today we have new details to share about this innovative transportation system.
Disney Skyliner will offer guests sweeping views while whisking them between Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and four Disney resort hotels. Each cabin can accommodate up to 10 guests, including those traveling with wheelchairs or assistive devices.
I would be very uncomfortable, and wouldn't feel safe, being 1 of 20 in a gondola designed for 10.but I'm a little uncomfortable about being way up in there by myself with a car full of 19 strangers.
Packed in tight, squished against the person standing next to me, is how I'd describe Disney buses, at least beginning and end of the day.I doubt they ever pack people in so tight you are squished against someone..
That sounds like way too much of an overreaction to what amounts to a delay measurable in seconds. If you can't even handle a minor pause in what's still basically a "walk-on" scenario, maybe a Disney vacation isn't for you.If I am one of 20 people in the *Q* And I see a half empty Gondolla being left go
I would be very ANGERY and create a fuss ALL because some Family wish to
ride in a certin Gondolla Or travel with their family of 5 //////
