I know it’s early however excited about going to the event. Wondering on the advantage to VIP TOUR, vs express. The prices or details aren’t out yet so looking for people with experience on it .

Thanks all , also most likely 9/22-9/29 dates

As you know HHN is a separate ticketed event.

So you would need a separate ticket along with the purchase of Express for the night you attend or your VIP Tour.

Express Pass ......which would cost extra saves you the trouble of standing in long regular lines to get into haunted houses. HHN has become very popular and wait lines can be long in regular lines. You can wait and see how long lines are on the nights you attend and decide to buy Express after you get to the event or before.

VIP Tour .......is a private tour that someone has purchased and you buy into their tour. There is usually no more then ten people in these tours and you have a tour guide that takes you to the front of the line right to the door of all houses. Your tour guide can take you to the all the houses more once during that tour evening.

There is also a regular RIP Tour......this tour also has a tour guide and they will take you to the front of the line to the door of all the haunted houses. On this tour you only visit each house once.

Also included in the cost of the above tours is snacks and beverages at Cafe Labama before start of tour and during the evening of your tour.

There are a couple stops in air conditioned lounges during the tour for you to purchase cocktails.

The tours are worth their weight in gold if you want to see all the houses in one night and are on a tight schedule.

Go to the search bar and type in Official 2018 HHN-2018 Thread. This is last year’s thread and is loaded with great information.

This thread will give you all the info you need on HHN.

This thread is set up by Keishashadow every year and will answer everything you have to ask on HHN. What you don’t understand please ask and one of us will jump in.

Once Universal releases all the information on this years HHN 2019 Keishashadow will have it on her thread Official HHN-2019 Thread.

It will give the cost of the tickets, tours, Express Passes for specific nights and the cost of multi-day passes with and without Express, Scareactor dining experience and Unmasking the Horror daylight tour prices etc

I noticed last year that Universal added some half RIP tours after HHN started.

Universal has really upped their game at making sure they are offering enough possibilities to fit everyone’s budget.

I attend on multiple nights and buy a pass that includes Express, plus I do a tour.

There is a lot of walking and standing and it is still pretty hot in September in Orlando.

Annual pass holders do get discounts.

Yep, Robo nailed it! I want to reiterate and emphasize the post: Express is a separate queue from standby. It is shorter and much faster. The RIP tours skip all lines and go straight to the door. It was said, I just wanted to emphasize it. As a side benefit, the tour guide also gets to lead the group through non-accessible areas, so the total walking distance is shorter (and neat to see some areas that you normally would not get to see). RIP is a truly premium way to experience HHN.

We usually go to HHN 3 nights and get the Frequent Fear w/ Express Passes. That works great for us. One year, though, we only had one night for HHN. We got the RIP tickets instead of Express that year. Either option is worth it's weight in gold, as said.

You two are a team!

You both nailed it

Same way I set my plans up each hhn season

Are the VIP and the RIP tours something you buy in addition to your event ticket, or is entry included in the price of the tour?

Everyone needs a hhn park ticket to enter for the event

Peeps doing tours need the park ticket

If you do the day house tour your ap or day ticket is needed to enter the park

In addition to event ticket. Think of it this way:

Park ticket gets you into the park (this will be important if you want to take advantage of Stay and Scream)
HHN ticket gets you into the nighttime event (or keeps you in the park if you go with Stay and Scream)
HHN Express ticket grants you access to the house express lines
HHN RIP ticket puts you in a tour group for the night

Recommendations:

If you have a daytime ticket and HHN ticket, take advantage of Stay and Scream and stay in the park at closing time.
If you have a daytime ticket and HHN + Express pass, also take advantage of Stay and Scream at closing time.
If you have HHN ticket only, be outside the gate very early to get in line to enter for HHN.
If you have HHN + Express only, also get in line outside the gate early to get in.
If you have HHN + RIP tour ticket, you can be there early (if you have daytime ticket) or use the RIP entrance before your tour starts (1 hour before I think?)

As for the daytime Unmasking the Horror tours, I don't think you need a daytime ticket. We've only done it once, and we entered and exited via the Blue Man Group building.

Hope this makes sense, but let me know if I need to clarify.

The unmasking the horror tour does not require admission to the park.

You are right
My error

I had a person in the day tour that came just for the tour and escorted out of the park when the tour was over
