First day was Sci-fi at MGM -Meteors for all !

Second day- Castle for lunch we all ate off the childrens menu without any problem. We knew we were going later that evening to Ohanas so didnt want a big meal. Our total for lunch was $20.00 ! for 4 people ! Dinner was at Ohanas YUMMY ! so cool to have the skewers brought to the table!

Third day-Quick bagels at the contemporary in the am then off to Epcot for a beavertail (cant miss having a beavertail !) Rose and Crown for dinner. We had priority seating for 7:30. We had a good 45 minute to an hour wait. We were seated inside and they held our dinner order so that we could go outside to the VIP illuminations viewing area for the show. Then we went back inside, enjoyed a quiet meal (bangers and mash !) and exited Epcot almost by ourselves !

Fourth day-Tusker house for breakfast. Had biscuits and gravy (yummy too !) and Chef Mickeys for dinner before MNSSHP. Chef Mickeys of course was great ! Headed over to the party where we had to have a turkey leg for the first time !

Fifth and last day- Caseys Corner for hot dogs while we sat and enjoyed the castle, the people, the piano player and took in all the magic of Main st.

All in all a wonderful time but next time I want to try a dole whip. Had to save something for the next trip so now I know I'm going back !

Thanks for the awesome reviews!! I'm glad you enjoyed Chef Mickeys....always a favorite for us! So sorry you didn't get to try Beaches & Cream!

Hey chip 126- Maybe Beaches and Cream in Sept when there is a trip to the Wilderness Lodge ???? :) :) :)

Actually, Jiggerj, I was thinking that I might give Beaches and Cream a try our first day of Epcot in December! If so, it will be a last minute decision.

For the great reviews,we also always enjoy a hotdog at Caseys and just soak up the Magic.:wizard: :goodvibes ::yes:: :wave2:

Nice reviews, jiggerj! (We were there 9/27 thru 10/4 and posted our reviews in this same section....they're floating out there somewhere!)
You know, we never even gave a thought to eating lunch at Cindy's Castle....but your reviews opened a new world for me! Our first couple of trips, we always played lunch by ear during our MK day...and a couple of times we ended up at the "El Pirata" place....which I hate, but the kids like! This past trip, we did Columbia Harbour House after some research on these boards and we absolutely loved it!
Next year, I said to my wife that I just want to sit down and have one of those big, fat hot dogs at Casey's Corner ands "soak up the crowds" and atmosphere for our MK lunch. But, I have to admit, I've only thought of the castle as a breakfast stop first...and possibly a dinner stop. Never gave a second thought to it for lunch.
Who was in your party...what ages? They really gave you no hassle at all ordering for everyone off the kids menu? That certainly would be another "plus" for eating lunch there.
(By the way, hope your post-Disney-trip withdrawal isn't too bad! Isn't it amazing how fast it goes by? Months and months of planning....then the week after you come home, that horrible, empty feeling!!))

We have a PS for the Rose and Crown for 7:30 and in case we don't get outside seating again, where is the VIP viewing area?

Behind the restaurant or behind the hostess stand?

Thanks!
Beth

We were a group of 4 at cindys for lunch. Myself, my mom and 2 dd's (12 and 16) so we were all over the "childs" age for the menu. We did ask if it was alright if we all ordered off the childs menu and was not a problem at all. Cindy even made an appearance ! And sadly yes...I am having disney withdrawels but this board certainly help with my disney fixes between trips ! :)

MaryKatesMom-We were escorted by our server(wish I had his name he was excellent...young kid very informative and very calm during the crazy dinner time) to the area outside at R&C still within the restaurant area at the water. I would ask your server about the VIP viewing area as other diners that were eating inside at the time of illuminations were taken out there too. Talk about being close ! We even had firework debris in our hair ! and they shoot off some of the fireworks right from R&C. Be sure to request (not guaranteed of couse) an outside table When you check in at the podium. You might get lucky !

Disneyolic- Meteors....Ok... just plain chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes. But it hit the spot. Now the chocolate milkshake that we had with it was GREAT ! :)

Hope I was able to help ! Have a great time !
