Anyone have any pros or cons about this hotel? We got a great rate of $137 (+resort fee and parking), so still under $200.

How is transportation to the parks? if we go to MVMCP will there be transportation back to the hotel at the end? this is my biggest concern about staying off site.

We just decided to go a few days ago, so very little planning time.
Any comments about the hotel are appreciated.
Thanks!

The Hilton Bonnet Creek shares a shuttle with the adjacent Waldorf Astoria. You can view the schedule online, although it's not that useful because they only show the next couple of days.

For as nice as those hotels are, their shuttle service is pretty bad. They typically have gaps of 1 to 3 hours in the middle of the day where you can't get to a specific theme park. (Example: Going to Epcot tomorrow your afternoon choices are 1:30pm, 3:3pm, or 6:30pm.) Although, if you plan to spend all waking hours at the theme parks, the shuttle service isn't going to matter.

Unfortunately, you will have to find your own way back to the hotel after a special event. According to the transportation page on their website, "the shuttle service runs during regularly scheduled park hours only".

Just stayed there in July and had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is gorgeous - there are lots of good places to eat, and the pool area is fantastic. We easily walked back and forth between Hilton and Waldorf to eat and use both pools. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed and the service was fine.

As for transportation, we never had a problem getting anywhere. We would look at the transportation schedule and be at the bus stop 10-15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up. They were always on time, and the buses are large, comfortable coach buses and very nice to ride in. That's where the ease ended. The drop-off for each park and Disney Springs is further away then the Disney hotels, so in some cases a much longer walk. As long as we planned ahead for the extra walking time it wasn't a big deal going in. But leaving, it was much harder to convince our tired feet the extra walking was worth it. Also, planning to be at a bus stop for pick-up when you are leaving a park is harder as there aren't as many options. We ended up taking an Uber or a taxi back many times.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, especially with a really good deal. We know the area very well and would probably just rent a car to save us some frustration next time, though. I do think it's totally doable to rely on their bus transportation only, just slightly annoying at times.

Thanks for the replies! good to know you enjoyed the resort DisneyElite4, it looks gorgeous in pictures. With this being a last min trip and my DH is combining it with a business trip staying off site makes more sense, we use Uber a lot when we travel so that is probably what we’ll end up doing.

Writerguyfl, thanks for the very helpful links!
