i am just absolutely dying to go back! i went for the first time in july and want to go back so bad i can taste it. now we are planning on going on a disney cruise in a few years. but i want to do disney again. and my son wants to meet the characters that he missed. well with all the days off the schools have around here i am thinking i could do a really quick trip. like fly out thursday night and back in on sunday or very early monday. (DS is in afternoon kindergarden. so this is plausable. just pushing it a little.) but my question is how much do the quick trips cost? i am trying to figure out if i can afford a quick trip along with everything else we have planned.

I know how you feel.....I live 11 Hrs away by car and try to convince DW to go all the time. The cost really, to me, depends on where you stay and, most importantly, if you have annual passes. We break even on AP at about the 8th day we travel during the year.....soooo...if you have annual passes not including flight you could get a hotel off property for say $35 per night....eat cheaply say $10 per person per meal, no gifts, limit drinks to water brought into park...thats around $100 per day or around 140 if you want to splurge and go on property. We have done four day weekends for under $200 using DVC points, annual passes, and a really fuel efficient car.
Certainly cheaper than going to the casino, or even the beach at $100 per night for a hotel

Who says they cant afford Disney.....Not me :D

Unfortunatly, there are no weekend trip discounts. The air fare is the same. On a daily basis, the room rates and your food budget are the same. Just do a little research first to find your best deals. Offsite is the cheaper way to go, but you would be able to fit in more of the WDW magic by staying onsite for just a few days. First, figure out your possible travel dates. Find the hotel of your choice, then look at air fare prices. One day park passes are $50.88 for adults and $40.28 for kids. Do the math, adding up all your daily expenses. Factor in, a rental car or airport transfer and of course your eating and spending habits. Most of all, keep watching the posts on the Budget Board....if there's a way to fit a WDW trip into your budget, you'll find it here!
