If you get an upgrade, how much more do you pay for it?

If DCL upgrades do you pay for it?
If so, do you pay for each cat. you go up?
What if you check the DCL site or get to port and get an upgrade do you have to agree to the upgrade? (we have book a guaranteed stateroom)
We have a SPH room, don't know if we want an upgrade, unless it had an verandah and would be better location for us? (we love deck 5)
So confused if we should call DCL to say no upgrades or take our chances.

If you initiate the upgrade, you will pay the difference between your original fare and what the new category is going for as of the date you make the upgrade.

If Disney initiates the upgrade, it is complimentary.

Do cat. 10,SPH rooms get upgraded?

Theoretically it could happen, but it probably won't. If you were "upgraded" from a Category 10 SPR to a Category 9, you'd go from a convenient location on Deck 5 to a less convenient location on Deck 2. They are aware that they might run into resistance with that, so they'd be more likely to upgrade someone with a true Category 10 Inside room to a Category 9.

If you have a GTY room, they can upgrade you and you don't have to agree to it. That is what a GTY room is all about. I have seen posts though where people have complained and DCL has put them back down to the original GTY room....
