*I'm Back!* We're getting married..at Disney World!!! Jeff & Kathy's PJ! UPDATE: Let's Party! (9/18)

Wow! You are such a beautiful bride! That story about your mother's pearls had me a little emotional, along with those pictures of your dad seeing you for the first time in your dress and giving you a hug.

Can't wait to read more!

Love this, you look stunning and I love your meatball sandwich conversation (so cute)! Congratulations! xoxo

Aw thank you! I enjoyed our meatball conversation as well haha!

Beautiful bride! Handsome hubby to be! Love your dress--very lovely. Everything just came together so beautifully.

I agree about getting teary over the pearls and your mom. I think in the big moments of our lives like this those who have gone before us are with us, too. And I'm quite sure would she have been proud of you and happy to see you so happy. Your sis is awesome, btw--what a great sister! :flower:

The flower girl is so precious--how old is she? She is obviously enchanted by you and the wedding. Cute, cute, cute!

Thank you  The pearls was definitely a sweet moment. And just wait, my mom definitely let us know she was with us in a BIG way lol. I too agree I have a great sister. She's the best ;)

My flower girl was 3 years old. I absolutely love her. Surprisingly she's always liked me even though her family moved away when she was only a few month old. She was shy like most kids, even around her grandparents, but she's always been happy to come to me.

Those are amazing pictures!! And what a wonderful idea to do it like that!! Also so sweet about the pearl necklaces...I love stories like that. You will treasure that forever I'm sure.

Thank you! I love our pictures, they turned out pretty amazing.

Such beautiful photos. You look stunning and I LOVE your first look set up with your family and bridal party watching from the balcony. Such a special moment.

That is such a special moment for you and your dad. I love that your mom did that pearl sale every year and that you are your sister are able to have such a fond memory to keep of her.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your amazing day.

Again, Congratulations and I wish you and Jeff a life full of love, laughter and happiness <3!

Aw thank you so much  It was so fun to have our family watching from the balcony. It made them feel a little more part of the moment.

Aw thank you so much! It was a pretty emotional moment, but a sweet moment to have.

Saturday October 10th Part 4: Pre-Ceremony Pics

After we sort of wrapped up our first look, we went to take some pictures of just us before the rest of our bridal party joined us.

This is one of my absolute favorite pictures! I don't know exactly what it is, maybe the contrast of colors with the white and blue awning but I just love it!

And this is when we first learned that all Nate had to do to make Jeff and I laugh was to say "Say something to make her laugh" It doesn't take much to make me laugh.

I wish I remembered what Jeff was saying at this moment :) Knowing him it was something silly

Awww one of the few photos of me giving him a kiss :rotfl:

And then wipe off the lipstick mark :rotfl2:

Every time I look at this picture one thing that really sticks out to me is my dimple...and I love it

Aww I love him

My handsome hubby :)

We took over someone little garden area for a minute for these pictures. After this, we walked back over and met up with our bridal party for some group pictures!

Saturday October 10th Part 5: Group Pictures

It was now time to get some of our group pictures done before the ceremony! Our bridal party made their way to where we were.

You can see the flower ball our flower girl would be carrying in this picture. I LOVED it!

Of course a picture of our adorable flower girl :) There is no shortage of these!

The boys

Then we took some with the ladies

Silly picture!

The whole group! With a few little ones who aren't smiling :rotfl:

Our handsome ring bearers

All the ladies

And one cute little lady with her flower ball

Annnd another one

With my little buddies!

My sestra! And brother-sestra! Or salt, pepper, and cumin :rotfl2:

My family

Jeff and I with my dad

Daddy and Daughter

I love this one :)

Jeff and I with his sister

Jeff's family

Jeff and I with his mom

Mother and son

So sweet :)

Me and one of my best friends Katie

Then we made our way back inside to cool off and take a few more pictures. It was a rather warm day so we were ready for a bit of relief from the heat before being outside in the ceremony!

Saturday October 10th Part 6: Pre Ceremony Picture cont.

Love this red chair with my dress and flowers

Can't decide if I like the black and white or color better

Having a little chat with my ring bearers, I love them :)

And with that, our photographers and videographers left to get ready for the ceremony. We had some time to kill before it was time for us to make our way over, so we all went to the Bellvue Lounge and hung out until Carol came to get us.

This is me trying to sit "lady like" but really wanting to air out under the dress :lmao:Any ladies who had a wedding when it was warm out with several layers underneath knows what I mean! So proper.

So serious lol

Finally, Carol came to get us! It was time to make the walk to the ceremony space! Next up, its time for the ceremony!

Okay...WOW. First of all, your photos are amazing! You look so completely in love and filled with joy. You looked stunning - pretty sure I've already said that at least once, but just for good measure! Your flower girl is so precious.

HAHA! We got married on August 29th and it was a WARM day. My dad and I drove to the ceremony site together, just the two of us (special last minute daddy daughter bonding session I guess you could say) and I was THRILLED that his car has AIR CONDITIONED SEATS! I forgot about this feature until I was telling him how hot I was under all the layers of my dress and he just looked at me, smiled and said "what about now" LOL. It doesn't sound that funny or thrilling, but in that moment is was hilarious and the breeze on my butt was more than welcomed - sorry, don't mean to talk about my butt on your wedding report haha....but I know EXACTLY what you mean. I also found myself perfectly "placed" over vents throughout the night at our reception hahaha :rolleyes1

Then we took some with the ladies

I really like your bridesmaid dresses - they are so pretty and seem to be flattering on everyone!

Also, it's really cool how you did all those pics and got to hang out with everyone before the ceremony instead of after. My parents insisted that all that be done after the ceremony and I would have much preferred to do it before!!

Your pictures are just perfect. The Roots make magic I tell you!! I just love the colors you went with on your wedding day, they pop in every single photo!

Aw thank you! It was a fantastic day and I loved every minute of it! I'm not sure how Beaute or The Roots made me look so pretty but they worked some magic for sure haha! Air conditioned seats would have been AMAZING! Luckily it wasn't warm for our reception and I don't really remember noticing how warm it was during the ceremony or taking pictures after. Maybe I blocked out the part of my brain telling me it was hot!

Thank you! They all did a great job picking out dresses. I'm glad I let them choose. It was great getting to do all those pictures before hand. For the longest time Jeff didn't want to do a first look, he wanted the first time he saw me to be when I was walking down the aisle. Luckily he changed his mind a couple months before when he saw his best man's first look. Turned out to be a good thing he changed his mind ;)

Your pictures are just perfect. The Roots make magic I tell you!! I just love the colors you went with on your wedding day, they pop in every single photo!

Didn't they do an amazing job!? They really do make magic! I love the colors I chose! I agree they are just a little bit of pop in the pictures.

Wow, The pics are beautiful. The Roots are really talented for sure. You look absolutely amazing and your flower girl is the cutest thing ever. I love your dress and your hair. Looks like it was a beautiful day! Congrats!

Thank you! The Roots really do work some magic! My flower girl did a fantastic job, everyone thought she was the cutest! And she was lol. Thank you! I loved all of my choices as well! Just wait till you see beautiful the ceremony is haha

Saturday October 10th Part 7: Ceremony

While we waited, The Roots went over to set up and take pictures of the ceremony space and our guests arriving.

This is what we chose as our unity element. We didn't want to do a sand ceremony or candle since it was outside. I found this love lock online and we thought it was a pretty cool idea. You can get the lock engraved so we chose to put "Jeff and Kathy 10-10-15 Love you more" We say Love you more a lot to each other :)

We also chose to do a memorial table for my mother. This was a surprise to everyone, I only chose to tell my dad and sister the day before so they would know it was there. I chose a picture of my beautiful mother on her wedding day. We also included a sign that says "In loving memory of those forever in our hearts"

We had also decided to provide the guests with parasols to shade them from the sun, since it was the middle of the day in Florida. There were a total of 50 (I believe) with 40 being white, and 10 being pink, just for a pop of color.

And you can see the sky looking a little gray.

Our violinist playing while the guests arrived!

One of my cousin's kids. Such a cutie!

My Aunt Sue, one of my mom's sisters.

Both of my mom's sisters together.

Cousin's on my mom's side, Greg and Hannah.

Two of my beautiful counsins, Julia and Annie. We have been close with them since we were younger, it was the 4 of us girls. Sadly, the one of the left, Julia, is the one who passed away :sad1:

Another one of my cousin's, Sara, on my mom's side

Wife/girlfriends of a couple of our groomsmen.

And a few more cousins haha! I have quite a few.

Close family friends with their granddaughter, using one of our pretty pink parasol's to shade the sun!

Starting to take their seats!

My beautiful cousin again with her son. So sweet :)

Wife/girlfriends waiting.

My cousin Julia's daughter Samantha, beautiful just like her momma.

My aunt's, my dad's sisters.

And one of Jeff's cousin's little boys. Such a cutie

My cousin Annie's husband and their daughter Ella, so adorable!

Jeff's cousin Kim and her oldest son

Another one of Jeff's cousin's son's. We had so many cute kid's at our wedding!

Pretty little baby girl!

Aaaannnnddd then the darker clouds started rolling in.
At this point, we were all waiting inside the resort in one of the hallway's. Carol came in and let us know that we were going to start a little early because the clouds were rolling in, and we were going to try to beat the rain.

Next up: Our ceremony, see if we beat the rain or not! (some of you may already know the answer)

I'm so sorry again for your family's loss of your cousin. I'm glad she was able to share in your wedding day with you and that you have these gorgeous pictures to remember her and the day.

The parasols made for such a great idea and great photos (especially knowing what happens next! ;) ) Frankly so does the scary sky, at least for photos anyway!

I'm so terribly sorry to hear of your cousin's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. So young and beautiful.

Those clouds! Not what I would want to see before I walk down the aisle to my outdoor wedding!:scared1: Don't keep us in suspense! Did it rain? Did you make it through the ceremony? It rained on my wedding day but cleared up a little before the ceremony. Whew.

I know you probably said, but where was your ceremony located?

Love the parasols (maybe should have had color coordinated rain ponchos, ha ha, Florida in October!) :umbrella::beach:

Also love how you honored your mom.

Thank you so much, it's been tough. We are all very glad we were all together for the wedding. I wish I could have spent some more time with them, but I'm glad she got that special time with her family.

I love the parasol's and the dark sky pictures! They are amazing. I wouldn't have had the day any other way!

Thank you so much. We all miss her a lot. Yeah the clouds were not quite what I was expecting on my wedding day, but I wouldn't have wanted the day to go any differently than it did. I'm still waiting on my wedding video but if it doesn't come in the next day or 2 I will just go ahead and update. I was hoping it would be here last week because there we did a reading that I really liked, but I don't have a copy of it. I have a copy of the script just not the reading :/ Fingers crossed it's on its way!

This is a beautiful photo of your mother. I am so glad that you were able to include her in your special day. She couldn't be there physically, but I bet she wished for nothing more than to be, which is why I am sure she was watching you from above. <3

Both of my mom's sisters together.

Such a sweet photo. I love it. Your family is so incredibly cute!

I am also very sorry to hear about your cousin Julia. She is absolutely beautiful and her children are adorable. I hope you and your family have taken some time to remember the amazing moment you've had with her and reminisce about this special day that you all got to celebrate together.

OMG am all tense now wanting to know if you managed to tie the knot before the downpour - that sky looked ominous!

She made sure to let us know in her own way she was there ;) Thanks! I think we have a pretty cute family too haha. Thank you, she is truly missed by all, but we do cherish the fact that we all got to be together to celebrate.

Well wait no more, I'm getting ready to post the ceremony now!

Saturday October 10th Part 8: Ceremony

Carol was telling us it was time to start! Jeff would escort his mom down the aisle to her seat, then circle back to walk down with his groomsmen. While he walked his mom down, they played A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes

The groomsmen walked down to Bearnecessities, I’m not sure how I let him convince me to do this but he enjoyed it.

Then the music changed for the girls, they walked down to Canon in D. Our only traditional music

Then, I remember Carol telling me we can start down when we hear the music change. She kept talking, and all I could think was “the music has changed! Can I go?!” haha. Finally I told her and we were off! We walked down to my favorite, A Tale as Old as Time.

"Good Afternoon, who blesses this woman. This is where my dad has started walking back to his seat, he turns around and goes “uh I do”

"I thought so, I was gonna be right behind ya! You can tell it’s our first time together. Good afternoon, my name is Skip Braband. Better known as Uncle Skip to Jeff and Kathy. I’m honored to be involved in the wedding as the master ceremonies or as the reverand. I’m going to talk quick because i want to thank you all for all your prayers because we are going to get through this.”

"Well I had a chance about oh, when they first met to do a little favor for my nephew. He asked me if I could get him to a cubs game. And I said you know those are pretty hard tickets to get to. He said well not only a Cubs game, but they gotta be playing the Cardinals. I said they gotta be playing the Cardinals?! And he said yes they do, that’s very important to me. I didn’t know why then, but I think you knew (to me)”

“A little bit”

"Well Kathy’s pretty smart. Because she, like everyone else, it very very concerned about what a beautiful marriage their going to have. So what Uncle Skip has done, he’s taken my 2 favorite teams. See the Cardinals and the Cubs and we tied them together, or we united them. And I have them for both of you.”

“Ok, shall we get into it?”

And this is where someone reminds him to have people sit down.

"Today, we are missing many people who could not be with us. Kathy's mother Dottie is no longer with us, but we know she is here in spirit, watching over this union. She was a wonderful person and Kathy knows she would have loved Jeff. Kathy and Jeff have set up a table in her memory. At this time, we would like to take a moment of silence to think about how much she loves everyone here, and how much she would love to have known Jeff and his family"

"Now I would like to ask Brittany if she would come up to do a reading."

Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A good marriage must be created.
In the art of marriage the little things are the big things…
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation
and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is finding room for the things of the spirit.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.

As you can see, it officially started raining.

"Jeff and Kathy have chosen a love lock to symbolize their union. The lock is a representation of the love between two people, the bond between friends, and the solidarity within a family - more simply put it is togetherness. It is not solely about the lock itself, but much like a diamond ring represents the lasting bond of marriage, so does the love lock symbolize a movement towards love, acceptance, and unity."

I had to tell him at this point to wait a second so we could actually lock the lock. I think he was trying to hurry since it was raining.

"Now if we could, we are going to exchange the vows."

"I, Jeff, take you, Kathy, to be my beloved wife, to have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy, in the good times, and in the bad, and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this from my heart, for all the days of my life."

"I, Kathy, take you, Jeff, to be my beloved husband, to have and to hold you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy, in the good times and bad times and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this from my heart, for all the days of my life."

"Thank you. Umm Sam. Now we are going to have the rings. Can I have the rings."

At this point, one of the groomsmen comes to hold the umbrella so we can exchange the rings. As this is happening, I totally get hit in the face with the umbrella, which you can kinda tell in the picture.

"Please repeat after me:"

"I, Jeff, give you, Kathy this ring as a symbol of my enduring love. Just as the circle of the ring completes itself, so you complete me."

"I, Kathy, give you, Jeff this ring as a symbol of my enduring love. Just as the circle of the ring completes itself, so you complete me."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Kathy, Kathy you may now kiss your husband"

"Rain or shine I now present for the first time, Mr. And Mrs. Jeff Coleman!"

As you can see, it rained for the entire ceremony! But all of our guests were completely cool with it, no one left. The whole time we were there, that was the only 20 minutes it rained. Luckily, the reception was just across the way at the Atlantic Dance Hall.

We all decided, and know, that was my mom's way of letting us know she was there. I love all of our rain pictures! They are some of my favorites! I wouldn't have had our day any other way. I would have hated for it to have been moved inside.

Next up: After ceremony pictures!
