Why is it a good thing he is coming to US? He will face many years here for the crimes he committed, but dodged the additional 20ish years in Peru??
Seems to me he caught a break.

Joran. Not sure how to edit title.

I have not read anything that says he doesn’t have to serve the remainder of the Peru sentence. If for some reason he was not convicted in the US, I would expect him to go back to Peru. If he is convicted here, I don’t know which sentence would be completed first. It may depend on what his sentence here would be, but that’s just a guess on my part. I can’t recall another case where a person was convicted of similar crimes in two separate countries.
