Thanks to Hurricane Irma and a nice discount for Sheraton/Marriott properties, we booked Marriott's Cypress Harbour to move DD and her BF out of her powerless home a few days prior to our arrival in Orlando on 9/18/17.

Cypress Harbour is close to Universal Studios and International Drive. We were in close proximity to Oceanaire, Jack's Place and Shake Shack.

The property itself sustained very little hurricane damage and was beautiful. Even though we were in one of the farthest buildings (57), it wasn't too far to walk to the well-appointed gym and the Main Lobby and Marketplace.

The 2-bedroom Villas, at over 1300 sq ft, are very spacious. The villa was recently renovated and everything was clean and new. The king-size bed in the master had a more comfortable mattress than the queen bed. The queen was a little on the firm side. We had no need to use either of the sofa beds but the villa will accommodate 8 people.

The kitchen was well-appointed with toaster, coffee maker, and blender. The glassware and flatware was of very nice quality. Coffee was provided as well as cleaning supplies. Laundry soap was also provided for the full-size washer and dryer. You would need to bring Bounce or Downy. The bathrooms had ample supplies of towels, shampoo and conditioner, and pool towels.

We used the gym daily and were impressed with the treadmills and machines. Lots of free weights, exercise balls, and yoga mats. The locker rooms were always open.

The Marketplace had a nice breakfast and light dinner menu. The only disappointment was that breakfast couldn't be ordered until 9:00a when we would have liked to eat much earlier. The pancakes were really light and fluffy!

Starbucks coffee is available as well as Krispy Kreme donuts. The make your own Mickey Waffle station is always open although we didn’t try it.

What we really noticed was not only the friendliness of the staff but also of the other guests. People driving by would wave to us and staff always greeted us. It was a very pleasant stay and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

The only warning is to bring insect repellent. We definitely needed it and used products with DEET to provide the best protection.
