I just returned from WDW last week and I have been watching online for months all of the changes at Disney Hollywood Studios Transportation updates.

Last week I saw the bus drop off and bus pick up area and how the gondola station is progressing, and the DHS Security Bag Check building and new Disney Tram drop off and pick up still had the green construction fences blocking the view.

Today, Blog Mickey showed photos that both are now open and the old area closed.

Last week this is what I saw when visiting Disney Hollywood Studios, but on the ground.

In the top right are the concrete Disney Tram turnaround and the new Disney Security Bag Check Station building. Just to the left is the walkway tram users used temporarily. And to the left of that is the Handicap Parking area.

To the far right is where I entered the DHS Security Bag Check area with the covered area and "J" shaped, patio umbrella covered DHS Security Bag Check area.

This is where I arrived last week after getting off the bus.

I believe this is the entrance for the guests coming off of the bus stops. It appears they set up a green fence blocking the old security bag check area.

If I back up a little and turn to my right, this is the temporary walkway to the Disney Boat Launch water taxi.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is currently undergoing several changes. One of the many projects Disney has been working on was the tram route out in front of the park. Today Disney opened the new tram station, plaza area, and new security station that will hopefully make it easier for guests to enter the park.

This is where guests will exit the tram and then proceed to the bag checking area. The expanded walkways make this area seem much larger

This massive plaza was empty when I arrived, but having this much space in front of the bag checking station will be nice for the peak seasons.

I was wondering how WDW was going to mesh the bus guests with the Tram guest entering the new Security Bag building.

Since I left WDW last week they have demolished the old Security Bag Station and removed the patio tents.

They also added a green construction fence in front of the entrance from the walkway in the far top right where guests access the WDW Water Taxi boats all the way to the new Security Bag Check building

We usually upgrade to premium parking as we like to drive to the parks. Then we can just walk to and from and not have to take a tram. Can you tell me if it will even be worth it to do so at HS and Epcot? We arrive May 28.

Hi, BellaBaby. I am definitely no expert at this since I use a wheelchair and I always use the Disney Transportation System.

But with that being said, if you don't use the Disney Trams at the Disney Parks when I was at the Epcot and rolled through the EPCOT area to the Trams, it looked like the Handicap and Preferred parking was closer than the Tram drop off, but not by much.

I still had to roll from that area through the temporary area like you could see in my photos above.

I don't know how far you had to walk before the EPCOT construction.

Maybe someone else can come by and give you a better answer.

When I walked the area to this EPCOT temporary Tram drop off, I saw cars at top parked from the Preferred parking and the Handicap Parking. Then folks walked along the green construction fence to the top left through that tree area to the temporary Security Bag Check area.

Aerial view of the new tram loop and bag check at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Much work was done in this area over the past few years. For example, bus plaza was formerly where parking is seen. It seems like the only things that will be unchanged are the turnstiles and the boat dock.

At Disney Hollywood Studios, the construction is almost complete.

The new Disney Tram drop off to the left.

The first parking area is for handicap parking followed by preferred parking.

Along the roadway, in front of the Disney Skyliner Gondola Station construction, there are signs for drop off of for share riding all along that area.
