Night of Joy - Info Needed

I know that Night of Joy is usually held at the beginning of September. Is it usually the 1st weekend in Sept, or the weekend after Labor Day?

We want to avoid this weekend, and next year, the first full weekend of Sept is prior to Labor Day.

Any info is appreciated.

At least the last two years, the Nite of Joy has taken place on the Friday and Saturday nights following Labor Day. As far as Labor Day weekend itself, this holiday is one of the few that does not have a serious affect on crowds at the parks. Most kids are back in school by Labor Day and people generally don't take vacations at the beginning of the school year.

Thanks JamesD. We really wanted to avoid that weekend because I enjoy SpectroMagic, and when they have Night of Joy, they close MK early, and no Spectro. We were there this year Sept 2-8, and that was our only disappointment. Crowds were definitely non-existent!
