We’re happy you can join us on this cruise!
Hopefully you can join our Fish Exchange too!

I’m so looking forward to this cruise since it will be my first cruise out of NY. My last four cruises have all been out of Port Canaveral. This will also be the last ship I need to complete being on all four Disney ships. :goodvibes

Thank you for posting all this. This will be our (me and my mom) first Disney Cruise. I am looking forward to reading all this info. I too have never left for a cruise out of NY. Not sure how we will get there yet. We are used to flying to our port destination. We live in southeastern MA, so we are thinking about driving, taking a bus, or sharing a car service with others from our area if we can find someone who wants to share a ride. I am a total newbie, I dont even know what a fish extender is . We have no kids travelling with us. Its just us two old ladies enjoying our first
Disney Cruise :woohoo:

I have a question. I just read the "Walt Disney World Ticket Information". It says that the park hopper ticket includes 3 fastpass+ options and that we do not need to make fastpass+ selections in advance. Does this mean that we can just show up to any (well almost any) 3 rides and get into the fastpass line? I would love to do Soarin and Flight of Passage but usually we can only make advanced fastpasses in the same park. It would be amazing to just show up to these rides at any given time and get into the fast pass line. This would be awesome if this is true.

Ok, sorry. nevermind. I just read the "Walt Disney World Information Letter" which answered my question. I got too excited and i should have finished reading everything before i started asking questions  But I am super excited that yes we can do this! It says we can just arrive at the fastpass+ entrance of our desired attraction (no reservation required):jumping1: This is a HUGE benefit. :thumbsup2

Welcome! :flower1:

Our family is staying the night before at -
Hilton Garden Inn Ridgefield Park
70 Challenger Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660

They offer a stay and cruise which provides transportation to and from the ship.

Don’t need any kids to join our Fish Exchange. Everyone is welcome to join. I have done it with just my mother and I before.

I added a link in the first post describing what a Fish Exchange is for anyone interested.

Is the offer on their website? We're only coming from South Jersey, but it may be more fun to come up the night before! Do they charge you extra to leave your car there all week??

We are also coming up from South Jersey for the night. They don’t charge for leaving your car. This cost less then paying for parking at the port and don’t have to drive into the city.

Here is a link to their Park, Ride and Cruise room package.

This is our cost breakdown for the night with transportation to the ship and back.
They help you set up your pick up time from the hotel and give you a number to call when the cruise is over to set up your pick up time to get back to the hotel.

Rescuetink, I got the info from ArielRae's link right here in the (Walt Disney World information letter) in the Park Admission section. I am not sure about getting more fastpasses, although, I cant see why we couldnt get more once these are used up. Hopefully someone else who has done a Disney cruise before can answer that question.

What time do they take you from the hotel to the cruise?

For everyone else on this thread, I know there's a FB group for this cruise. I have sworn off of FB for many reasons so hopefully we can share all the information there to here and vice versa!

You set up with the hotel when you checking in what time you like to be picked up in the morning to go to the ship. They also give you a phone number you call when the cruise is over to set up a time to get picked up from the ship to take you back to the hotel. Just call the morning you get back in NY and let them know what time you want your pick up and they will tell you where to meet them. This will be our first time using this service but heard from another DISer that it was a great service to use and they had done it many times before.

The Dis has band Facebook groups cause of the many issues with them. So we will keep to just our group but anyone is welcome to post on here if they like to join our group.

I wonder how long after you call when you return it takes for them to come pick you up?? :confused3
