Whether you're celebrating Thanksgiving, an early Christmas, a birthday, an anniversary or life in general, we're so excited to have you with us!
*A previous Nov 18 interest thread was in existence, but a poster requested an "official thread" that would keep track of roll call, events, etc. Let me know if you want this taken down!

November Event Information/"Check-In" Threads
November is a very special time of year at Walt Disney World Resort! There will be plenty of special events taking place this month, make sure you take advantage of all the holiday magic! Here are just a few links for connecting with others and learning more about these happenings!

2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: The best part about early November is that you still have a chance to catch the 2018 Food and Wine Festival! The Epcot-based event begins August 30 and runs all the way up until November 12, so our earlier November travelers will have the chance to experience seminars, culinary demonstrations, exclusive merchandise, and above all, FOOD from all around the world! F&W is a great event, my personal favorite Epcot festival, so be sure to check it out if you're in WDW during this time! Don't forget to follow the 2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 30 to November 12, 2018 thread for updates on information as it's released!

**NEW 7/31** Festival menus are HERE! Click this link to see the full list of Global Marketplace booth menus!

Walt Disney World Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend: From Nov 1-4, Walt Disney World Resort and runDisney invite you to join them in Epcot for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon! Be sure to follow the Official Wine & Dine 2018 thread for more information on registration, updates, and more!

  • Registration opens up on Tuesday, March 20 at noon EST. You can register here.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: Do you need a little Christmas? Right this very minute? You're in luck! On select dates, you can watch Magic Kingdom transform into a holiday wonderland with special nighttime offerings during this hard ticket event. You'll find free cookies and milk, exclusive entertainment (a parade, a castle show, and a fireworks show just for the event!), exclusive character offerings, and above all: SNOW ON MAIN STREET! Follow the "Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic thread for more updates on dates, ticket sales, party information, and more! I'll update this section with dates and prices as information is released.

As of 3/19, tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are on sale! The
November dates are: 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 25, 28, 30. Tickets are $95 in advance or $105 at the gate (if available). Tickets can be purchased by calling (407) 939-1872.

Candlelight Processional: The holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are made even more special on select days between November 22 and December 30, where you can watch the Candlelight Processional. One of the most cherished holiday traditions at Walt Disney World Resort, guests are invited to the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot's World Showcase as Disney presents the story of Christmas. The story is told with the help of a 50-piece orchestra, a mass choir of Disney Cast Members, and most notably: a celebrity narrator. The story is presented three times a night: 5:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM.

Here are the dates and narrators as of 7/6:

  • 11/22 – 11/23: Chita Rivera
  • 11/24 – 12/2: TBD
  • 12/3 – 12/6: Neil Patrick Harris
  • 12/7 – 12/9: Whoopi Goldberg
  • 12/10 – 12/12: TBD

  • 12/24 – 12/25: Edward James Olmos
  • 12/26 – 12/27: Jodi Benson
  • 12/28 – 12/30: TBD

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find park hours, parade/firework times, event schedules, etc. for my November trip? If you click this link right here: November 2018 Disney Park Hours, you can find a convenient page of all the most up-to-date times you'll need to know for your November trip!

What are the crowds like in November? Generally, the sizes of the crowds in each park are varied in November. I recommend Kenny the Pirate for the most accurate crowd guesstimates. If you click this link here: Disney World Crowd Calendars November 2018, scroll down some until you find the internal links to his crowd calendar pages for the appropriate week of your trip.

What will the weather be like during my trip? November is one of the cooler months in Florida. The average daily high is generally around 80°F (~27°C), whereas the average daily low is generally around 50°F (~10°C). You'll want a light jacket for the evenings, as 50° down south feels a lot like 30° up north! November also tends to see less rain than the summer months.

I started planning late and now I can't get the Thanksgiving ADR I wanted! What do I do now? First of all-- this thread right here over on the Disney Restaurants board is the PERFECT resource for you: NOVEMBER 2018! CANCELLED ADR Thread - Guidelines in first post . Don't forget to keep checking the WDW dining reservation tool, as often times, people cancel as plans change further on down the road. Good luck!

Can I be added to the roll call? Sure thing! Keep on reading to see how you can do that...

We are officially booked at POFQ for 11/2-11/4 through an agency exclusive deal. Then we move to BWV on rented points for 11/4-11/11. I specifically didn't book the entire trip at BWV because I wanted the agency exclusive park tickets which are much cheaper (and you can't get unless you book a room) and I've always wanted to try POFQ so it seemed like the perfect time to do it. It'll be our first mother daughter (she will be 12) trip and we are SUPER excited!!

WAHOO! Great to have you aboard! :cheer2:

Nothing is more fun than a mother/daughter trip! Let me know what else you guys are planning! Welcome to the roll call!

Staying at Dolphin on points
Booked two rooms which we upgraded for some more points and we are being told that it's guaranteed to be connected. We will see!!!

Have been twice before during Jersey Week. This will be our third trip in three consecutive years. We have only been to MK and AK and this coming trip will will add on EP and HS! Hoping to get 5 day tickets, but we will see about that. Would like to try babysitting this trip and possibly experience F&W!

Hubby and I are squeezing in an adult trip this coming April and we will do some recon for the November trip since we will also stay at Dolphin. Yay!

Thank you @Newsies!

We are going 11/18-11/23 staying at POFQ. Hoping for the PIN fairy to bring me a nice 30% code so we can move to our "home" over at AKL. Today I got one for 40% off but it was for Disneyland! I think I may be disappointed considering it's Thanksgiving week.

We are getting 8 day hoppers with one additional FUN admission which includes a water park or mini golf. I'm not sure if we will use the additional admission but if we do it'll most likely be a water park.

Our must do's are MVMCP, 4 parks one day and a HEA dessert party.

The only ADR's we are going to make for our 9 nights is CRT, BOG lunch, GF tea and HEA dessert party. Once hours are released I will see if HDDR fits into our schedule. After that we will wing it with dining. Same day TS ADR's, QS and F&W (no wine for DD! lol). Some of the TS places we may want to try with same day ADR's are Plaza, Yachtsman, Il Mulino, 1900 PF breakfast, VN and maybe Cali Grill. We just don't want to be tied to them and I see these are open all of the time on the app the day before or the same day.

We definitely are hoping to see Christmas decorations and the castle lighting. Since we aren't going in August (when we usually go) we are looking forward to spending more time in AK since it'll hopefully be cooler. We both really enjoy the park but in August the park just seems hotter than the others and we can only take about 4 hours there before we feel like dying. Then we never make it back there in the evening since they used to close so early. Next trip I'm planning 1 1/2 - 2 days there. Looking forward to the later hours. In March 2009 we did PM EMH at AK and it was amazing but DD was only 3 and doesn't remember.

Yay! We're at the Poly Nov. 24- Dec 1

First trip back since March 2014, looking forward to seeing the "new" Poly and all the new attractions.

Welcome aboard! :welcome:

Added to the roll call! A lot has changed since 2014, you're going to LOVE all that the Poly has to offer!

Those plans sound PERFECT. I love the HEA dessert party and all of those ADRs you've selected! MVMCP is one of the most fun events in WDW. And I totally hear you on AK-- it's so hot in August that you can't really experience it! I remember when I did my CP I would go to AK in November and have a lot of fun while it wasn't burning hot.

I would love to skip CRT this trip but DD specifically requested it. I figure one day she may not want to do it again so I'm cherishing the moment. It'll be our 4th trip there.

It'll be our first MVMCP and we are so excited. It's the main reason we chose "Jersey Week" over August.

WOOHOO!!!

So excited to join this thread, officially :-)

We're booked for November 3 - 11 in a villa at Boulder Ridge, Wilderness Lodge.
It's our first time at this resort, first November trip, first trip with much higher crowds - but we're up for the challenge!!

It will be me, DH, and DS (9). Our must do's will be lots of Food & Wine, finally seeing Pandora (and FX for Toy Story Land), and hopefully our first ever MVMCP.

Can't wait to plan along with all of you!

I'm really considering adding a day tour trip just to go to the MVMCP. We didn't go to the Halloween part last time we went, I really want to see the parade and the fireworks.

This will certainly help make the year go quicker! Will be fun to see fellow travelers who overlap with our trip. I have multiple itineraries set up but once hubby and I come back from our April trip we can fully decide how much time we should allocate at Epcot for the kids sake and if we feel the need to do Babysitting in order to go to F&W. I have my eyes on Mickeys Backyard BBQ, Pirates and Pals or Pirates Adventure. This will be our first year not on the DDP so that will be new. We have done many character meals: CM, CP, Tusker, CRT, BOG dinner and 1900pf dinner. We most likely will do Akerhus and if GG has a PPO advantage we will consider that.

Thanks for starting the official thread!!

Going (for now) 11/20-11/24 staying at ASMu. Maybe change dates after DD picks her college and see what break is.
At this point 4 day tickets. Might add parkhopper if needed when I start getting plans made with our friends.

Had planned this as a surprise high school belated graduation trip for my DD...last week got a small envelope from Disney, I thought it was probably just some promo stuff and guess what?! Yup DD opened it up!
Oh well guess I can surprise her with grad Mickey ears, gift card and Minnie grad ornament lol.

Thinking of doing a behind the scenes tour and will plan one nice dinner, so those will be surprises too. Will do QS and we love to snack around Epcot. Hope to spend a few hours checking out Disney Springs and can’t wait to see Pandora and other new stuff, last trip April 2015.

We went this time back in 2013 and loved seeing all the Christmas decorations and went to the party. We have a few friends who go this week also which is always fun getting together.

@Newsies on the roll call you can add 11/4-11/11 at BWV too. We’re doing a split stay. :jumping1:

@Newsies

Everyone's been added to the roll call!

My TA already has agency exclusive rates for those dates at POFQ. If you'd like I can PM you her info. I booked my two nights at POFQ through her for Jersey Week and it was $180 a night.
