We do have 2 Magic Morning entries, but will only have 1 possible day to use it (a Thursday) because of the run we are participating in on Saturday. (Trip is Tues/Tues, flying in and out, so Tues isn't an option).
Last year we did Plaza Inn during an 8am Magic Morning on Saturday of the run weekend and it was pretty empty, characters came fast, we saw each of them more than once, and still left by 9:10am or so We had to go back to City Hall GS to take care of something, then went to FL...probably getting to FL around 9:45 or so. Wait times were still pretty low and we didn't feel like we missed out on low wait times. The other thing last year was that we had a second MM access. We bought 2 military 3 day tickets/person, so 2 MM entries, and our trip was Fri-Fri, so we did the breakfast during Saturday's MM and then actually went to MM on the following Thursday.
We're going during the same run weekend this year, except this time DH and I are both running the 10K (DH is also running the 1/2 on Sunday). Right now we have a breakfast scheduled during MM on Thursday..hoping for a similar environment..few people in the restaurant, lots of characters, getting out relatively quickly and still seeing everyone (hopefully more than once). Except this year Friday is Veteran's Day and it seems like Disney may be expecting higher crowds, since Plaza Inn that morning starts breakfast at 7am (our reservation is 7:30a)...so I'm assuming MM starts at 7am as well.
It's doubtful we'd get to the park before 7:30, regardless of having breakfast (DD is NOT an early riser). If we get out around 8:30, is it likely to be similar to what we saw last year in terms of yes, there may be lines, but not crazy long ones yet? Or was last year an anomaly? I know the general wisdom is to use MM for rides, but we LOVED Plaza Inn last year and the timing seemed to be a part of that. With it so empty it seemed like we got more character interaction overall, and it was fantastic. Are we crazy for doing the breakfast during our only MM opportunity?
