Ironically, we have our AK day planned for 10/20, the day before RPW closes. Would anyone expect AK to be busier than predicted because of this closing? I assume more people than usual will visit RPW that day.

We will be there on October 15. Does anyone think they will no longer be showing animals at that point? Not the petting zoo but how they sometimes bring animals out for the kids to learn about etc.

I’ll be going to RPW on Saturday as my CM friend is very good friends with Doc McStuffins and we’ll head there for a final farewell.

I’ll report back if anyone can confirm if the Animal Specialists will continue through the 21st. The date was pushed back for the train because it gives AK some extra time to update the Wilderness Explorers maps.

It’ll be used to transport guests to special events at RPW. It won’t be removed.

What? It sounds like RPW will hold special events from time to time, so the train will be needed for that. In addtion, I've read rumor/speculation that the area will be re-themed as something else so presumably the train will be used for that too.

The train is staying put. It can’t be moved anywhere unless they built a completely new track. It just won’t be open to guests every day like it is now.

We finally remembered to go to RPW in early Sept, just before they announced the closure. I am glad we went. it was a lot of fun, and we were able to collect the wilderness scout badges while there. I hate that they are closing it.

Believe they've already said he's heading to join a dance party. It was part of the Blog post that was done last week, I thought. Though I've slept some since then so I may be mixing things up.

So it says they are going to "improve the guest experience."

In other words, it will be an upcharge attraction come spring.

But in this case, it was AK Managers who decided upon seasonal on the 14th, then determined it was full closure on the 21st, and then re-opening decision made today.

Whoever is leaking to the blogs has to know or be a higher up in AK.

And it's a prime example of why leaks are almost always bad and rarely ever good

I was at the today and talked to several cm about the closure and they were all so sad, they dis not know it was reopening
