I can't speak to your 2nd and 3rd question, but you are correct that you don't need park admission to participate in the DiveQuest (or the other 2 aquarium experiences) at Epcot. We are considering booking one for one of our non-park days. you check in at Guest Services outside of the tapstiles and they escort you directly to the aquarium.

I haven't done it in a couple of years but they didn't let us take anything in the water except our own mask. I even had to take the hair tie out of my braid and use one of theirs so I doubt they are going to let you take a camera. They do a video of you that you can buy.

I was afraid of that! Thank you for the information. Did you use your own mask? Or do you know how theirs are? Since it's a long trip and the only dive, I don't think we'll bring our own, but my face seems to be very difficult for masks

I used one of theirs. I have a freakishly small head and actually had to try 3 masks over the years to find one that fit comfortably and I also have bi-focals in my mask but for the short dive, theirs was fine. The water is very cold and I get cold really fast ( I wear a 5 mil. in tropic waters) so I asked them for two wet suits and they were fine with that. In my picture for my avatar you note I'm wearing a hood and a five mil suit and I was in Turks and Caicos.

My husband has done this 3 times, with the most recent being last year. They will not let you bring a camera into the water, but he was able to wear his own prescription mask and own hair tie each time (he has super long hair). If you don't have park tickets they are supposed to escort you out after, but your mileage may vary on that. ; )

Oh wow, I hadn't even considered that! That would be some serious pixy dust if that is possible!

I wouldn't count on it, but it's a possibility. The first time he went, years ago, he was escorted out after and had to re-enter the park using his ticket, but last time (and i think also the second time) the group was just released into the aquarium portion of the seas. I presume you couldn't use FPs because you never dinged into the park, but i honestly don't remember - this last time we had to leave right after, anyway. Even if you don't get the extra epcot bonus, it's great fun anyway.

I booked this for my dh for our Oct trip and the CM told me it wouldn't show up on MDE and she said to keep track of my reservation/confirmation number. I was only allowed to schedule for Wed or Thursdays.

We've booked this experience. Should it show up at My Disney Experience? And if so, where? I see my ADR and tickets, but not this

We did the aqua tours and it never showed up in our MDE. We had a confirmation number and a lot of nerves waiting in the meeting spot until they showed up. Didn't even ask for our number, just asked our names and had us checked off the list.

We also did aqua tours, not DQ, and it didn’t show up in MDE. We’ve booked it again for our June trip and this time I’ve added it to our MDE plans as a note. Was able to paste in all the pertinent info so that I can at least see it in MDE.
