SSR location to request to walk to springs

We've freed up some of our 2020 points so have managed to book our first 3 nights of our March trip on points rather than cash as we were expecting. SSR is the only resort available, not really great fans of the resort, but we thought we'd utilise the proximity to Springs. Can anyone recommend the best area to request to walk over there please (we're British, we love to walk...)?

Only ever stayed in the Treehouses, not SSR itself.

Honestly, if you like to walk, any location should be fine for you. If you want the closest, Congress Park is the place, but there is a lot of renovation going on in that area. So, The Paddock or Springs would be the next closest.

We stayed at the Grandstand, and would walk to Disney Springs every day at some point. The Grandstand also has the advantage if you are taking bus transportation to the parks to be the first to be picked up (seat guarantee) and first to be dropped off.

It's a great resort, we love it, and having DS so close is one of the reasons.

To request either Congress Park or The Springs, you have to book a Preferred Location room.

The Grandstand, Paddock and Carousel are all Standard Locations.

Yep just found this out when I tried requesting Congress Park! We've requested The Paddock as he said that was the next nearest for a standard room.
