star wars dessert party

Was there Friday and it was indeed the Vader mug. The food was so good. The frozen Nutella is probably the best thing I’ve tasted. Can recommend the vodka cocktail highly and I’m not usually a vodka drinker.

I was thinking of surprising my husband with the star wars dessert party. But, i read that you're standing the entire time? No seats? I'm just not sure we would enjoy that after a day in the park, and then standing for the fireworks as well.

There are assigned tables with seating at the dessert party, but they are very close together--close enough together that I found it really inconvenient to go back and forth between my table and the buffet line and bar (and you'll have to go back and forth a lot if you want to eat your money's worth, since the plates they provide are tiny). And yes, you do have to stand for the fireworks. The desserts were tasty and it was very cool being escorted to a special viewing area guarded by stormtroopers, but I was hoping for a more relaxing atmosphere and a more filling "meal" than the party provided.

From all the desserts party I've done the DHS ones have the most in terms of savory items. I really disliked the Frozen and HEA dessert parties because they only had cheese, this one has flatbreads and hummus and different types of charcuterie, along with the desserts. Just my opinion

The outside portion of the party is standing. My husband struggles standing up for a long time and uses a walking stick. They were more than happy to get a wheelchair for him so he could sit while watching the fireworks.

Everyone in our party was sitting on the ground to watch the show. Well, except the 2 people standing right in front of us who we managed to convince to sit down by us.
🤣
We were pleased with the food and drink selections. Our only issue was that we were late b/c we were just getting off ROR at 6:30, and for some reason someone was sitting at our table. But there were plenty of empty ones so it wasn't a real issue. We did miss the intial interactions with the storm troopers thought, which was disappointing for my son.

Oh, agreed that there's definitely more available for savory compared to the other parties--that's part of why I booked it, since I felt I could get more of a meal out of it than I did at the HEA dessert party. And I did get enough that I didn't feel a need to get dinner afterward, so that was fine. I was just frustrated by only being able to get a small amount of food at a time and it being such a process to get in and out of my table, which was tucked in where I had to pass between a bunch of very closely spaced tables.

I did like having basically an express pass to meet Darth Vader; that's really the only other part of Launch Bay I hit during the party.

hi All- we are a party of 8 and wondering what the seating arrangements are for larger parties because the photos show mostly small round tables. Anyone know? Thank you!

They don't have chairs for the fireworks viewing? I was going to get tickets and with us will be my 75 year old parents - they can't sit on the ground they won't be able to get up hehe! I guess we won't be going then they can't sit on the ground.

You can get a wheelchair

Question about a wheelchair for the fireworks viewing. Are there wheelchairs available at the Launch Bay or do you already have to have one? My husband has a bad back/hips/knees and would not be able to sit on the ground or stand for that long. Not sure if I can convince him to get an ecv though.
TIA.

The CM, as a courtesy, might be able to get a wheelchair but they are not required to do so, so it's dependent on the CM. I would recommend just renting one

So I called this morning to inquire about April dates and the CM said they may or may not be offering the Star Wars dessert party after March 31? This could be sad news - we have three boys in our party that were really hoping to attend!
