The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

We had Fun Home and The Bodyguard last year, I sold The Bodyguard, zero interest. We had Neverland already this season with Something Rotten and Love Never Dies still coming this season. I will be selling my Love Never Dies as well, we can't stand Phantom. Very excited for Something Rotten though!!
So bitter you get Love Never Dies. That show is my guilty pleasure. I love how awful it is! I am dying to see it. *fingers crossed* I am hoping it comes to Sacramento.

I was able to snag tickets to Frozen at the end of March (way back when it first went on sale). Xmas present to family....

From what we've had here in the past and recently mentioned:
I loved Phantom, but hated love never dies.....
Something Rotten is great
I Liked Get on your feet much more than I expected to.

We are getting Hamilton, Anastasia, Miss Saigon, this year....and I forget what else...

Something Rotten just played DC and my daughter and I saw it twice. It was so much fun!

Seeing Lobby Hero and Wicked on the same day in mid-April. I'm making the trip from south GA specifically to see Lobby Hero (and a bit to visit my parents, who live on Long Island), so the Wicked tickets my mother was able to find are just a nice bonus. My understanding is that Lobby Hero is going to clock in at under two hours long, so we should have plenty of time between shows to grab dinner...any suggestions on where to eat so we don't have to stray too far from the theaters?

Also excited to see Hamilton in May/June in Atlanta...I love love love Nik Walker, who plays Burr in the touring company.

There's a restaurant right near Wicked called Toloache that is delicious. Also if you like sushi, Kodama on 45th is prime theatre people watching between shows and some of my favorite sushi. There are a ton of good places in midtown but those are off the top of my head that are close to your theatres.

We ate at Trattoria Trecolori at 254 West 47th Street 10036 in January. It was good. It's in the same block as Waitress and The Band's Visit.

I think Lobby Hero is on 44th and Wicked is on 51st so this would be in the middle.

There also is a take-out place which has tiny cupcakes in that block on 47th Street. It's called Baked By Melissa.

We also have eaten at Junior's

We ate at Trattoria Trecolori before Aladdin two years ago. I couldn't remember the name but when I clicked on your link and saw the photos I knew it was the place we ate. We enjoyed it.

We have reservations for Carmine's for this Thursday before Frozen. We have a group so Carmine's is worth it.

really stupid idea Finding Nemo the Musical and not the AK one.

I thought of Chorography by https://www.bangarra.com.au

Set Design by Gabriela Tylesova

Costumes by Roger Kirk/ Tim Curry – with design based on Indigenous culture

Direction by Simon Phillips

Music by Kate Miller-Heidke https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Miller-Heidke

The costumes will look like Indigenous art work and puppets
the set will look like traditional pantings

I saw Frozen tonight and it was fun and cute. Good lighting and fun effects. It made for a nice outing with friends. I saw Angels in America (both parts) earlier this week. That was AMAZING! Andrew Garfield was phenomenal. Can’t recommend more.

Well, next year's Broadway in Orlando season got announced - Jersey Boys, Hello Dolly, White Christmas, Hamilton, Fiddler on the Roof, Dear Evan Hansen, Anastasia, and Come From Away.

At least I got my whole wishlist. A Bronx Tale would have been nice but I can live without seeing that or drive to Tampa.
