Vero Beach Villa 14 Question

We are finally making our first DVC trip to Vero Beach on 8/8!!! We are so exciting - it can't get here soon enough!

But, our question is we called Vero Beach and asked if there was any way to request a ocean view for our two bedroom villa and they said there are no ocean views for the 2 bedrooms...

So... then we just asked if we could try to get close to the pool since we have 2 small childred going - the less of a hike to the pool the better. They told us that Villa 14 was close to the pool.

Has anyone stayed in Villa 14 - is it nice??? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

There are some two bedrooms with OV/partial OV. VB does not take requests for ocean views any longer unless you are booking an OV Inn Room or a Beach Cottage. It is usually the luck of the draw with studios,1/2 BDR's. Try to request something on an upper floor you will get a better chance of getting a view since the Resort is built behind the dunes with plenty of vegitation. We usually stay in building 12. 14 is closer to the pool. Enjoy your stay!

The pool is between building 14 and the main inn. You can't get any closer than building 14!! As madcoco suggested, see if you can get a 2 bedroom on the top floor. You may have a partial view of the ocean.

We love Vero and have always found things in good repair, etc. Hope you have a great vacation.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with Vero but even though it's Building #14, there are only 3 buildings (besides the Inn and the Beach Cottages). Building 14 is right by the pool. Building 15 is next door, south of Bulding 14. On the other side of the pool is the Inn. On the far side of the Inn is Building 12.

As mentioned, oceanviews are hard to come by since you need to be on the upper floors and lined up just right with the sight lines. I think you'll be happy in Building 14 since you literally just fall out the door to the pool, beach and Inn. The other buildings have that "long" 2 minute walk. ;)

Also, Dedicated 2BR units will have the worst chance of getting an Ocean View. Dedicated 2BR units are on the west end of each building. You would have a better chance of getting a 2BR ocean view if it was a lock-off.

Since your room requests are just that, requests, specifying a building does not help too much.

Good luck and enjoy, it is a great resort!

We are going this 2021 Memorial Day weekend and staying in a Deluxe Studio. Our kids are now 13 and 10 and we were thinking of sometimes letting them go to the pool on their own. We are thinking of requesting building 14 with a pool view. What would be best, in the first floor or higher floor, to look into the pool area from the balcony. Are there even any studios in building 14 facing the pool area?
