Hi Everyone!!

My name is Heather and it is about time that I post this trip report.

We have been back from Disney for a little over a month and I am trying to get the pixie dust off of our clothes and out of my mind but....it's sooooo hard you guys!!!
How do you get over the Disney Blues??

This is me, not the best picture but check out the adorable ears I made for our trip. Love them!!


Hubby and I were originally going with the school but kind of got kicked out. Honestly, I am so much more excited to be going ourselves!

Day One, 12/13/19-
This day is SUPER long and may have to be broken into several posts. We started the day REALLY early and left the house at about 2:15 am. Savannah needed to be dropped by 2:30 and we were off on the drive to Philly Airport. Our flight left at 6:10 am.

Good morning from Philly! It is currently 4:39 am and a brisk 35 degrees. Our flight leaves at 6:10 and after only getting a couple hours of sleep, we are ready to get this adventure on the road! Now for OUR idea of the obligatory airport photo! Disney! Here we come!

We arrived at MCO on time, somewhere around 8:30. I texted Megan to let her know we landed and she informed us that she hit some major traffic and was estimated to be at the airport by about 9:43. NO PROBLEM! We still had to exit the airplane, visit the restroom and collect our bag.




After a very uneventful fake monorail trip, we were at baggage claim, collected our bag and meeting Megan at pick up number 7.
While waiting in baggage claim, I received the following message:


We were on our way by about 9:50.
Soon, we were seeing some of my favorite sights!


We arrived at the All Star Music resort and were kind of confused with parking and the parking fees for the hotel since I had never been here when we had to pay to park. We parked in the check in spots and headed inside to see if we needed a parking pass or what? There were several guests ahead of us and while we were waiting, I received this:

Yay! Our room was ready! The lovely CM that helped us, gave us a comp for the parking since we were only parking for one night. THANK YOU!! We took our bags to the room, freshened up and headed off to the Kingdom!!

Day One, 12/13/19 Cont'd-

We hopped in the car and parked at the Contemporary. At this point, it was downpouring! Like, could not even see in front of us downpouring. My sneakers were soaked and every time I took a step, I swear that I left more water behind! But we had a park to get to so, we just marched on. We hopped the monorail to the MK.



We got to MK around 11:00. We had our first FastPass to get to. What was the first?


Hubby won We then high tailed it to our next FastPass for the Haunted Mansion.


We decided to ride standby for Pirates. It was listed at 50 minutes but it felt like it only took maybe 35?



Our last FP was for Big Thunder but while we were in line for Pirates, I got a message that my FP had been changed. Apparently Big Thunder was down so we got an anytime FP to use.

We were starving by this point and needed some sustenance. Meg and I had already discussed where we had planned to go for lunch....Columbia Harbor House!

Backstory...When Meg and I were in high school, we went to Disney with our Young Life group and ate at CHH every. single. day!

Meg and I ordered the chicken fingers and fries platter to share. Hubby ordered the same. We were really hungry and my apologies but I did not get a pic of our food. While eating lunch, I received the following message:


After lunch we were looking at our FP options and saw that Big Thunder was back open, so we headed there and got through in about 10 minutes.

We decided to head out and hit our next park since Meg was only with us for 2 days, we had to make the most of our time.

I was completely in my element and loving every second of it!

Day One Cont'd 12/13/19-

Day one is really long!! We did so much trying to jam it into one day since we had big plans for day two which was the whole reason we were here to big in with! On with the report...

We hopped in line for the monorail to the Contemporary to pick up the car, then headed for.....Hollywood Studios!

First we hit Muppet Vision 3D and I have to say that at this point I was dragging!! I may have dozed off quite a few times!

We only had one more ride that was a must for Megan and that was Rockin Roller Coaster, I snagged FP’s and soon we were Rockin our way through!

By this time, it was almost 5:00 and we had dinner reservations for 9:15 and I must say that I was not sure if I would make it. We were working on only 3 hours sleep at the most since the the morning before when we left for work but we were starving and took the car back to the hotel and grabbed a bus for Disney Springs.

This was my first time here since it became the Springs and I must say that I am not a fan. Maybe it was because I was exhausted?? We will be trying to get back again when I am more well rested but it was just very confusing and hard to find your way around.

We arrived around 8:00 and checked in at Raglan Road to see if we could get in earlier. NO CAN DO! This place was really crowded! They gave us a buzzer and hubby waited at the bar while Meg and I did some shopping.

We did not get seated until about 9:30, by then, we were ready to start eating each other!

I had ordered the Blueberry Mint Lemonade and I must say, it was very refreshing! I could see myself drinking these on a hot summer day!


The soda bread was so good and the dip was made from Guinness and sugar with a little bit of oil. It was very sweet and balanced out the bread perfectly!

I ordered the steak, it was really good. The mashed potatoes were THE BEST!!

The atmosphere was fun and I loved watching the live show while enjoying our menu.

We had our fill and decided to call it a night! We were beyond exhausted! We got back to the room, I took an Advil PM and we crashed!​

Hi Heather!

Super excited to read about all your adventures! Man! You really did a lot on your first day! Travel, hotel checkin, and not just one park but TWO parks and Disney Springs! Crazy! I would not have been able to keep up with you on that day!
I agree with you about Disney Springs. The last time I was there, it was so confusing and just so much walking just to go shopping. I think we might skip it entirely on my trip this summer.
I think this photo of the two of you at the airport is hilarious! You are beaming and super excited at such an early time, 4:30 in the morning and your hubby look is priceless! Like he's saying, "What?! I can't believe I am up at this hour let alone ready for this huge day we have planned!"
