Which Western excusion are a good value to book via DCL?

Which excusion can be booked direct, bypassing DCL commissions?

Which excusions are nothing but shopping trips to direct you to the "good" store, where tour guides and bus drivers walk away with a commission on everything that you buy?

This is my second cruise, although first time on DCL, and I would like to be a little bit more smarter about selecting shore excusions.
