What food availability at resorts?

We will be staying at SSR/BCV in 42 days. What is available at the resort, food wise? Do they carry milk, bread, water, etc? We won't have a car this trip and not sure we want groceries delivered because we don't need very much.

All resorts have a store with some grocery items. You can pre-order from the resort store and it will be delivered to your room for a fee, or you can just go to the store and get what you need. Below are links to the order forms that show what's available to pre-order. At a minimum, those same items will be available in the store.

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for :) I knew u saw this on a previous thread but couldn't find it!

Is it only DVC members that can use this service; staying at OKW without a car - so this would be useful. Thanks:)

We once paid something like $45 for a qt. of milk, 6 bagels, 4 oz. of cream cheese (not even the reg. size), a stick of butter (yes, a stick), a bottle of soda, a lg. bottle of water & a 6 pack of beer at the SSR store and that was the LAST TIME we bought groceries on site. From then on we started ordering from Garden Grocer. I think the min. order is $40 or $45 and there is a $12 (or so) del. fee but for that you can get a huge box (24) of waffles, a box of donuts, some fresh fruit, 1/2 gal. milk, 2 liter of soda, sm. tub of butter, syrup and a whole case of water. Once you meet the min. delivery amount you can also get beer added on as well. Yes, it's higher than what you would pay at home but you can get a whole case if you want. (Disney charges something like $6 / beer.) It is worth it for us to order thru them just for the savings on the beer.:rolleyes2

We just did a week trip without a car and we were able to get most of what we wanted in the resort stores. They do not carry a wide selection, so if you have picky eaters it may be a problem.

As DVC members, show your card to get the discount in the resort store. Just be prepared for some sticker shock :scared1:

It was the beer that boosted the price to unreasonable. Alcohol at the Disney resort stores is ridiculously expensive. Regular groceries are more in the "convenience store" pricing...higher than a grocery store but not completely outrageous. Disney doesn't even really sell 6 packs, as you noted it is per can/bottle and very expensive. In fact, soft drinks and water in general are pretty darned high at Disney, too.

Oh I know what made it over the top too much but we still paid almost as much for a single stick of butter as what a whole box would cost in a normal store. The other thing that Disney really marks up to ridiculous amounts is water. You can get an entire case of 35 for what Disney charges for 3 bottles.:sad2:

There are Hess gas stations across the road from DTD and across the road from BWV.
They are about like 7-11's and offer cheaper prices than the resorts.
To get to the Hess across from DTD, take the SSR boat to DTD, you will be dropped off next to Paradiso 37, walk over to the walkway between Planet Hollywood and AMC, turn left, go through the parking lot to the road, and you should be able to see the Hess station across the road.
