I would like to know your top 13 eating places, including 1 at each of the parks and 9 else where. Don`t need a 14th as that will be a first night Mcdonalds as i will be too bushed to bother about anything else. My exDh was really fussy about what and where he would eat but now on my solo trip i will be free to choose where i want to go.....

So your top recommendation for each of the 4 parks

and 9 else where, prefer around the 192 but not compulsory.

So list away...thanks:thewave:

Oooh, this is a great thread!!

OK, here we go.

MK: Crystal Palace
Epcot: Le Cellier
AK: Not much choice here, but always get a nice snack sort of meal at the Flame Tree BBQ
MGM: Hollywood & Vine

Others (In No Particular Order!)

'Ohana at the Poly
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge
1900 Park Fare at the GF (for breakfast, not tried dinner...yet)
Outback Steakhouse (various locations)
Chilis (various)
Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary
Hard Rock Cafe Universal
TGI Fridays (Various Locations)
Dominoes Pizza for a cheap but scrummy meal delivered to your door!

MK: Normally have a counter service lunch here - but Tonys Town Square was okay.

Epcot: Living Seas (Coral Reef?) - or take the International Gateway and go to the Big River Bar and Grill on the boardwalk

AK: Again, counter service at Tusker house. I think the only 'resturant' is the Rainforest Cafe?

MGM: Hollywood & Vine - or 50's Prime Time. Had a really good time there last trip. Desert was huge

9 more?
Ohanas (Poly)
Boma (AKL)

Emerils (CityWalk)
Outback Steakhouse (various locations)
Cracker Barrel (craft fair crossed with southern cookin' - kind of fun)
Big River Bar and Grill
Wolfgang Puck (not express - Downtown Disney) or Fulton's Crabhouse

Places people have recommended, but I haven't liked (maybe just an'off' day)
Hard Rock Cafe (CityWalk)
Tony Romas
Pepper Markey (Coronado Springs)
Planet Holywood

Epcot: Morocco
AK: Rainforest Cafe
MGM: Hollywood & Vine prior to Fantasmic

All of the above are on or around the 192 and very good.

MK:Crystal Palace.Very good buffet food and Winnie the Pooh too.

MGM:Hollywood and Vine.Great food and great place.Really wanna go to Fifties Prime Time Diner!!!!

AK:Restaurantosaurus. Its a Mcdonalds with a fixin's bar.Good but we wanted an air conditioned place to have lunch as it was so hot, thats the main reason we went there.Good themeing too.

Epcot:I've eaten at the food court at The Land plus I've had snacks at the world showcase.I must admit I really want to eat at every Epcot restaurant.

Chef Mickey's at the Contempery Hotel.AMAZING!!!!GREAT FOOD!!!!The characters and the buffet food are great here,we had dinner here and it was worth every penny. The kids are dying to go back here, they loved it as well.

I hope this helps you, great idea for a thread.

Jon.

Hi.

Me again. We have also been to the Hard Rock cafe.We had drinks and snacks.Worth checking out,if only to check out the guitars and other rock related displays.

Dreaming of SSR.

Jon.

Kinda difficult to put this without any sort of cost differentials so I've put a code to cover that. $ cheap, $$ average $$$ a little pricey $$$$ very pricey.

MK- Crystal Palace ( not much competition at MK IMHO) $$$

Epcot- Akerhus in Norway. Something really different that you're unlikely to find elsewhere in Orlando. Some great seafood starters $$$

AK - Rainforest Cafe $$

MGM- Don't often eat a "meal" here. Mama Melrose for some pasta or Pizza would be my most regular choice. $$

On Disney
Cape May Cafe $$$
Boma's $$$
Le Cellier at Epcot $$$
Wolfgang Pucs $$$
Benehana's ( at the DTD Hilton) $$
Outback restaurant ( NOT THE STEAKHOUSE CHAIN, in one of the DTD hotels) $$$$

Off Disney
Bahama Breeze $$
Olive garden $
Tchoup chop $$$$
Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville $$
Outback Steak house (chain) $$

Edited to add in the Cheesecake factory $$ . I think Mall at the Millenium is the only one in the Orlando area, but I've eaten there , San Diego and in Miami and it's always been excellent.

OK here goes

MK:
EPCOT: China eat in resturant
MGM: Brown Derby
AK: Never Eaten Here

1, Outback Steakhouse
2, Tony Romas
3, Bahama Breeze
4, Hard Rock Cafe
5, Mels Diner (Universal Studios)
6, Dan Marinos (Pointe)
7, Hooters (Enough Said)
8, T G I Fridays
9, ChickFilla (for the fast food option)

Wow i'm so hungry now

Giggler:wave:

er...

MGM: Brown Derby
Epcot: Le Cellier
MK: None
AK: Nope

1) Flying Fish (Boardwalk)
2) Cheesecake Factory (Winter Park or Mall At Millenia)
3) Emerils
4) Pebbles (Crossroads)
5) Macaroni Grill (LBV)
6) Vitos Chop House (I-Drive)

OK, if you have to eat at the parks be aware that the prices are high when compared to the quality and service.

MK - Crystal Palace. Food OK, character interaction good. Go for lunch.
Epcot - Refuse to visit the park again (too long to explain).
AK - Take your own food.
MGM - 50's Prime Time. Fantastic for kids.

Out of the parks;
IHOP for dinner. ENORMOUS portions. Service 2nd to none.
Bob Evans for breakfast. Dirt cheap and good service and food.
Tu Tu Tango, for something different.
Beaches and Cream, if you fancy a wander and a lightish meal.
Sweet Tomatoes. A MUST....... This place should be on everyone's must do list.
Subway. I know sounds weird, but for a cheap filling meal it's OK.
Chili's. Can be a bit hit and miss, but when it's good it's good.
Hooter's. Worth it just to read the menu.
Crabby Bill's. On the coast but the food and service are amazing.
Chef Mickey's for breakfast, good food good interaction.
Olive Garden, slightly overated but decent grub.
Gospel Brunch. Also a MUST do.

Boma was AWFUL I'll never go back. I know some people rave about it, but we hated it. Why ? The queues were horrendous, the food was below average, the service was dire, and value for money was very poor.

Don't go to Bongo's. Even worse than Boma.

Don't go to the Rainforest Cafe at AK unless you're a rich eskimo.

Most of the "big name" restaurants are a bit of a rip-off. We tended to fill up with a big breakfast before the parks and got a reasonably priced meal outside the park for dinner.

:earsgirl: Mouth watering just thinking about it. Here goes

MK: Peco Bills (counter service burgers etc)
Epcot: Garden Grill ( charcacter dining) Micky, Minnie, Chip,Dale etc
AK: Pizzafari
MGM: Sci fi diner

Chef Mickey
Sweet Tomatoes (I Drive)
Chicago Uno's (Scrummy pizza)
Olive Garden
Wild Jacks
Golden Corral
Jungle Jims (Crossroads, Buena Vista)
IHOP
Bill Wongs chinese buffet

Can I go back noe pleeease!!!!!
