DH has been looking over my should with grave concern. He says I am a DISboard junkie. Can you imagine!! I'm not even over 100 posts. He asked if I had read all of the 7500 + posts . . . I hesitated before responding a very quiet, "well most of them .. ." He then asked if we had already starting the party . . .I pointed to the 7500 + posts . . .

OK, I think I'm getting close to up to speed (thanks to the Cliff Notes). I have a couple of things to add.

First, Andrew best wishes for your daughter & wife - I'm sure they're glad of your support.

Second, nowhere have I seen the first rule of Pirating (which even my 3 year old DD knows): "Pillage first, THEN burn" It's worth remembering.

Third, this is one chatty group - I have fewer posts on my whole board than just in this thread for the last two days.

Fourth, I'm really looking forward to getting to know y'all over the next 18 months.

Summary of posts 7001 - 7500

--Travel Insurance was discussed.
--Many attempts were had at finding the Captain "onesies" for the pajama breakfast to be scheduled
--Lorri, apparently will not be cruising with us on the Magic as she will be on the "WONDER through the PANAMAL canal"
--We formed a new support group for overplanners and notebook carriers. We named it "Friends of Lisa G." It will be a type A recovery group. First meeting will be at Scoops after lunch on embarkation day with a strong drink in hand
--The Captain will be training the wenches
--Lisa would like us to email her everything you know about yourself and all photos ever taken. This must include job history, criminal record, ex-girlfriends, and relatives you are trying to avoid. See post #

All I have to say anymore is "I was reading on the boards..." and DH shakes his head - he knows I'm totally addicted! But he also knows that we are going to have FUN on this trip because of all the friends I'm making before we go!

Oh Yea, I knew there was something else...

I did the math, and even at the price we got for a Cat 10 (5678.88 for 3 of us) it only works out to about $123/day per person... That's not actually bad. Of course, that doesn't include the air, insurance, and incidentals, but I'll take any rationalization I can get.

Well, we got our quote and we're doing it! Cat 6 & Cat 11 GTY for the 5 of us, and friends in another cat 11. Hope they're near each other!

Now I can get really OC about planning this trip. Although it sounds like others are more type A than me with vacation planning. I only have a small folder, so I must be Type Lowercase a.


And I'll have to figure out how exactly we're working DL into this trip. I can't go to Ca and not go there.
