Good afteroon or morning fellow mateys!!pirate:

It has taken me 4 hours to catch up on the boards this am.:surfweb:

We had a major power outage down here yesterday around 5:30PM and in some places it is still out. With the weather being in the 20's it was very cold in the house but had the fireplace going so it was like being on a campout. I wish I had the ingredients to make s'mores.

Back several posts my favorite drink is Diet Pepsi(no diet coke for this wench! My favorite coffee is Eight O'Clock(I am sure disers in NY, NJ know of this coffee).

I hope everyone who is celebrating birthdays today have a "happy" day. It is your day to celebrate!!

Andy - nice surprise for Angelina!

I don't remember who wrote that they came down to Colonial Williamsburg in July. I live here in Williamsburg,VA and in the summer it can get very hot here. I live about a mile from Duke of Gloucester Street(the main street in CW).

We also have Busch Gardens and Water Country here which are great places to go to(my heart still belongs to Mickey and WDW) also and then of course Virgina Beach which is about an hour from here.

If any of my fellow disers are coming down to this area please let me know maybe we can meet before the cruise.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Busy life

I think there are quite a few of us. It would probably be fun, but I have never learned to take just what I need.....I take almost everything and there is No Way it would fit with my other stuff. But maybe a scrapbook retreat somewhere where at a later date and we could relive our memories.
Paula

I love the scrapswap idea. I'll have to go to the scrapbookers board and check it out. . . Would be fun to exchange things with those that are interested.

Now, I have to stop typing and actually spend an hour doing our books here . ..LOL. I'm going to need 12 steps to get off this board . . .

I'm in the same :boat: !!!

I did OK with organizing photos (but not atarting the scrapbooks) the first few years after DD was born - but then we moved and it all got packed in boxes and then packed away in the closet - four years later, all I do is keep adding to the pile of stuff in the closet:sad2: not good!

I think I am waiting for the scrapbooking Fairy to come and do it for me......:wizard: I'll wake up one morning and it will be done...and I can just start from there on my own:rotfl:

Wow! I'm sorry about the power being out. Guess it didn't make it to Newport News . . . We lost our heat last winter when it was coldest. I thought it was amusing to have to get up early to get the fire going for the family. We did school, ate, relaxed, everything in our family room with the fireplace. It did feel a bit like Little House on the Prarie. Did they say what caused the outage? Is it just too cold for Virginia?

Oh and we love BG & WC. . . can't wait for BG to open in March so we can enjoy it on Friday afternoons (while the other kids are in school . . .;););)). It's great exercise walking around the park, too. . .

Nice to meet a neighbor . . stay warm. . .

Happy Birthday
Lisa and Kandi
I'll be sure to pass on all of Alan's wishes to him. Maybe on day I'll get him hooked on the internet........but then we may be fightng over who's turn it is.

:) happy to hear the power is back on - glad to hear you had the fireplace to keep you warm!!!!:)

We also have Busch Gardens and Water Country

We've been to both and had a couple of great days there, we really enjoyed Water Country, seems like ages ago, maybe 8 or 9 years, probably longer as Angelina couldn't get on some of the rides at BG, and she was NOT a happy camper that day. The following day we did WC, got sunburned, but had a BLAST!!!

Hi everyone!

Just finished my DD's Birthday cake, it came out nice. Quadruple layer chocholate with chocolate frosting, mmmmmmmm.
