SR Disney 8% question

I placed two orders for disney GCs using the 8% link on SR for a total of $1200. The orders are showing up pending, but for only $72 credit. I will be the first to admit I suck at math :rotfl2: but shouldn't I get $96 if its 8% of $1200? Am I figuring this wrong? wouldn't shock me with my math skills, but hey I even did it in excel to check myself. :rotfl2:
 
You are correct - it should be $96. What $ amount GC's did you order? Was one for $300? That would be the missing $24. But that doesn't make too much sense. Have you checked your credit card to be sure that you ordered $1200? :confused3

Well now that I looked into it more, its even stranger. I placed 2 orders.. one for $200 this weekend. The correct 8% amount is showing up pending for that - $16.
But for the $1200 order I only have a credit pending of $56 when it should be $96. thats $40 less. I KNOW I clicked on the link for the 8% instead of using the shopping page link. so I cant figure out what is going on. I am going to submit a trouble ticket I guess, because if I am not going to get the 8% then I want to cancel the order before it ships.
 
If it is just a case of you clicking on the regular link rather than the 8% link, I can adjust it. But I will tell you that I filed 7 disputes with Disney this morning over missing orders, 3 of which were orders where they did not credit us for the full sale on gift cards but only part of the sale. It looked like they might have shipped the cards to separate locations, but I am not sure. I can always file a dispute with them if they only gave us credit for part of the order.

If I didn't love Disney so much, I would seriously consider dropping them because they have such crappy customer service. I have disputes pending with them from August on. I heard while I was at the Affiliate Summit that they had a change in their affiliate contact in the last couple of months and I was put in touch with a new person today. Hopefully she can straighten out the mess that has happened since the last person left.
 
Tricia I cant believe they are giving you such a run around! I hope the new contact gets things straightened.

I hope they end up giving you the credit for it, because its really unfair of them to offer you a promo to offer your customers - then try to get out of honoring their offer.

I used the 8% link and got no credit at all. I did file a trouble ticket and I know Tricia did all she could, but I understand that if Disney doesn't want to pay her... I don't get paid either. :sad1:

I'm in the same boat with the 8% link. Tricia is working on my problem too...She is one busy lady these days!:badpc:

I have made 3 purchases since 1/18 and I have not received ANY credits at all!

My most recent order arrived yesterday and, to my relief, all was well with it. I ordered a large snowglobe and several polo shirts...in 3 different colors and 4 different sizes. It's sad to say that I was actually suprised that the snowglobe was intact and every shirt was the correct size and color. This should be the rule, but lately, correct orders and timely service have become the exception.

Tricia, keep up the good work....We're all behind you! :grouphug:

thanks me too! Dh is already starting the "I told you so's" lol He thinks reward sites are scams. @@ and was leery about me ordering the GCs and paying for the trip that way. If it pays out like it should, we would make
I just cant believe disney is trying to back out of an agreement they have with their affiliates. That is such bad customer service (DISNEY!)

I'm still getting paid on most of the offers. I would say about 5% of them are problematic right now. And the biggest problem is that the person who manages their program with rewards sites just isn't responding to ANYONE. I'm not sure that they even have anyone managing the program right now. I just received today the commissions from all of the sales in October. That makes them the worst paying of every single merchant I have on my site. It doesn't suprise me at all that Mypoints randomly drops them.

I am sorry to have sounded so pessimistic. :blush: I really did not intend to create panic with my post, and I am so glad you responded quickly to nip it in the bud. I guess the last few weeks have just left a bad taste in my mouth, but you know all too well what that is like.
 
I just got an email that my second batch of GC shipped but the rewards on the $2000 aren't showing up as pending yet (it's only been 2 days). On my first $1000 the pending rewards showed up the next day. Just a little jittery since DisneyShopping has been a mess and a pain in Tricia's rear. I'm counting on the extra money for souvenirs.

I know what you mean!! I just ordered a $50 gift card with my Visa rewards and am watching that one, but more importantly I just made my TA go through the painful exercise of canceling my trip and refunding my Visa and rebook with a gift card so I could order giftcards with the refund and earn rewards on them. I will feel so bad for her and sad for me if my scheme doesn't work!!

How did the camera turn out for your husband, mine was absolutely great at blizzard beach but for the life of me I could not figure out how to take night shots. They all came out blurry but I am really glad that this one came out blurry makes it look better.

LOL! Oh he loves the camera. My Canon S2 IS does much better on the night shots, though. We did take it Castaway Cay, but he didn't want to test it anywhere near the water! He did take some amazing movies of Fantasmic, Wishes, and even the fireworks on the cruise and I am very happy with those. And of course I prefer the compact size of that camera to mine. Your kids are adorable!!
 
I am not happy to hear of all this trouble. I ordered $850 worth of gift cards last Tuesday and nothing shows as pending. I will be REALLY bummed if I don't get any credit!

Hopefully I can squeeze one more order in tomorrow after my credit card statement closes for the month. I've hit my personal budget limit for the current month, but tomorrow starts a new month on the credit card. :lmao:
