I wish I was going!! Sorry, I think the way I posted looked like I was. I was just really adding to V's post!!

Bummer:sad1: I tried going on the EB Transatlantic since the PC was sold out but my DH had to work...good thing because then we got this one:thumbsup2 I heard it was cold and rocky on the EB Transatlantic...I'm hoping for smooth cruise through the sunny carribean and Mexico:)

we were originally booked on the May Transatlantic and once I saw air fares I choked and cancelled. I think the PC will be better though and DH is really excited about it as well.

As much as the Transatlantic crossing would be an experience, I think our cruise is just going to be special.

Mind you some of the Med ports are super.

The plane fare was expensive...we found a much better deal because it would have been last minute but it would have been a really expensive trip even with the rock bottom prices DCL lowered those tix to. Living in AZ I like sunny and the ocean is a big plus for us on this trip:thumbsup2 I've always wanted to do a panama canal never thought it would be through Disney ...I'm glad they are doing it...we would love to do the Europe one but in 2 or 3 years when the kids could appreciate it a little.:)

BTW...for all who watched HSM2
I thought it was cheesier than the 1st, but I'm sure as soon as the songs are stuck in my head I'll like it. We already downloaded the album to her ipod.
BUT
did anyone catch hannah montana (miley cyrus) at the end. I did, and my dd didn't believe it. I had to rewind to show her....I earned my brownie points!

We have been to Arizona 3 times. We just love it. The first time we were doing the grand tour, and came from LA via a few nights in Palm Springs. We stayed a couple of nights in Phoenix as a stopover before staying in Willians for a night for the Grand Canyon, and then going on to Las Vegas etc.

Next time we flew to Phoenix, did a little business and then set off for 2 nights at the Grand Canyon and a tour around the National Parks - ending up at Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelle(?sp) and back through the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest and 5 nights in Scottsdale for a hot relax!

The last time we had 7 nights in Tucson, which we just loved, 2 nights at the Grand Canyon, 3 back in Scottsdale before ending back in Tucson for a few nights.

Once in September and twice in June - hot, hot, hot. We so want to go back again - perhaps as part of our 40th wedding anniversary trip in 2009!

We've watched it 3x already and I didn't catch that....the first one is on now.

I love it out here. We've lived here for almost 7 years. I live near Desert Ridge/Scottsdale. If you are ever back here try the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge it's really nice. I've been to the spa there twice (I'm really not a spa person I'm really low maintenance) and it was great. :thumbsup2 Try staying there(summer prices although hot, hot, hot here are much lower that's when I stayed) or if you can't swing that try only the spa or dinner there...Roy's is a great restaurant. There is so much to do in AZ. We go to Williams sometimes for Thomas the Train(my son has outgrown that now) and the Polar Express they had a blast last Christmas.

i just saw that commercial...it's cute.
When you watch #2 at the end when they are at the pool..she's there. The camera focus' on her in a yellow dress i think. She's miley..my dd has reminded me, she doesn't appear as hannah montana. She even has a credit at the end.

I didn't know they did that with the train at Williams. The Polar Express would be fun!

The summer rates for the hotels in Phoenix/Tucson area are amazing aren't they? The heat didn't hold us up too much, but we didn't go to some of the outdoor attractions. I prefer the dry heat there. The Grand Canyon is very special.

The great thing about the Grand Canyon its cooler in the summer than Phoenix. The Polar Express is awesome but its booked up a year in advance. If you could stand the heat summer prices are great. As a local we try and leave in the summer (usually San Diego) but I do like the dry heat over humidity any day:)

40 years of marriage has taught me this.....men cannot read our minds and are not particularly good at taking hints. Just telling them straight up what you want will save lots of disappointment since they really do like to make us happy if they know what we want. ;)

Oh, I dont want anyone to misunderstand me- I totally don't expect DH to book a vacation for us. We really need to save up for this Panama Canal cruise!! Money is tight here since our mortgage is so high. but if I had to dream of the perfect birthday gift, a Disney vacation would be it!

Ginamarie-Olivia's just adorable...and I see she's a Gymboree girl. I recognize those clothes!!! I should explain...after I left my corporate career and was home for a few years with the boys, I decided I needed to get out of the house and be around grown ups so I was working at Gymboree a few times a month. Consequently, I'm always spotting Gymbo lines...I drive DH crazy! Anyway, she's just a love!!!! I want to "squeeze" her.

Oh yes, thanks to the Disboards, I found, and fell in love with the gymboree clothes! My wallet has not (and probably never will) forgive me! I actually love shopping there because there are so many ways to get the clothes at rockbottom prices. The retail prices are WAY too high for us, but between the coupons and the sales and whatnot we do really well. Gymboree is kind of a hobby for me (collecting all the pieces and knowing the lines, etc). I'm always looking for kids wearing it too, but surprisingly it's really rare that I see other children in it. DH makes fun of me too!

Too funny!! My sisters insisted that was Miley Cyrus, and DH and I told them they were wrong. I'll have to apologize now! They also rewinded to show us, but I was convinced it was just a girl who LOOKED like her!

I thought it was cheesy, but liked it too. I'm a sucker for musicals anyway, and seeing the kids so happy and dancing around, I HAVE to like it.

Not much going on here today. I went for a fitting for the OTHER wedding that's coming up, and the bridesmaid dress doesn't fit at all. Apparently I need a special strapless bra that lifts. :rolleyes1 This is what happens after you have children I suppose. So I have to go back for my "first" fitting in a couple of weeks with an expensive miracle working apparatus.
Mom had a coupon for a free bear at Build a Bear, so we stopped there after the dress shop. Between her coupons and $10 in rewards, Giuliette got a koala, a complete princess Aurora outfit and a tote bag for $6. Giuliette was so happy.

Olivia and I are home alone for the afternoon. DH is working until midnight and should be home around 2 am. There's a block party going on one block over, and I'm hoping it won't be noisy all night, but there's some LOUD music happening right now.

We tried on clothes today in my dd's closet. Time to go back to school shopping. At least her school uniforms still fit! She just needs pants and some free dress friday clothes. and of course, shoes. So that'll be our sunday. We've discovered a store called justice, just for girls. It's very cute trendy stuff and not as pricey as alot of other stores.
Gotta get ready for the game.

Bedtime here. It's just been a few of us hardy posters hasn't it? Hope everyone else is ok.

See you Sunday.
