40 years of marriage has taught me this.....men cannot read our minds and are not particularly good at taking hints. Just telling them straight up what you want will save lots of disappointment since they really do like to make us happy if they know what we want.
Oh, I dont want anyone to misunderstand me- I totally don't expect DH to book a vacation for us. We really need to save up for this Panama Canal cruise!! Money is tight here since our mortgage is so high. but if I had to dream of the perfect birthday gift, a Disney vacation would be it!
Ginamarie-Olivia's just adorable...and I see she's a Gymboree girl. I recognize those clothes!!! I should explain...after I left my corporate career and was home for a few years with the boys, I decided I needed to get out of the house and be around grown ups so I was working at Gymboree a few times a month. Consequently, I'm always spotting Gymbo lines...I drive DH crazy! Anyway, she's just a love!!!! I want to "squeeze" her.
Oh yes, thanks to the Disboards, I found, and fell in love with the gymboree clothes! My wallet has not (and probably never will) forgive me! I actually love shopping there because there are so many ways to get the clothes at rockbottom prices. The retail prices are WAY too high for us, but between the coupons and the sales and whatnot we do really well. Gymboree is kind of a hobby for me (collecting all the pieces and knowing the lines, etc). I'm always looking for kids wearing it too, but surprisingly it's really rare that I see other children in it. DH makes fun of me too!
BTW...for all who watched HSM2
I thought it was cheesier than the 1st, but I'm sure as soon as the songs are stuck in my head I'll like it. We already downloaded the album to her ipod.
BUT
did anyone catch hannah montana (miley cyrus) at the end. I did, and my dd didn't believe it. I had to rewind to show her....I earned my brownie points!
Too funny!! My sisters insisted that was Miley Cyrus, and DH and I told them they were wrong. I'll have to apologize now! They also rewinded to show us, but I was convinced it was just a girl who LOOKED like her!
I thought it was cheesy, but liked it too. I'm a sucker for musicals anyway, and seeing the kids so happy and dancing around, I HAVE to like it.
Not much going on here today. I went for a fitting for the OTHER wedding that's coming up, and the bridesmaid dress doesn't fit at all. Apparently I need a special strapless bra that lifts.
This is what happens after you have children I suppose. So I have to go back for my "first" fitting in a couple of weeks with an expensive miracle working apparatus.
Mom had a coupon for a free bear at Build a Bear, so we stopped there after the dress shop. Between her coupons and $10 in rewards, Giuliette got a koala, a complete princess Aurora outfit and a tote bag for $6. Giuliette was so happy.
Olivia and I are home alone for the afternoon. DH is working until midnight and should be home around 2 am. There's a block party going on one block over, and I'm hoping it won't be noisy all night, but there's some LOUD music happening right now.
