At My job this week JCAHO inspection and review. what a pain
:surfweb:

No fun.:sad2: I remember those inspections. I was an HR Manager before kids and dreaded those...actually left a couple months before an inspection:rolleyes1 I was expecting my DS and moving to AZ gave my one month notice flew out to AZ on my last day of work. Hang in there it will go well:thumbsup2

Marilyn, I'm still a GTY. Are you too? I'm a cat 6. Are you too? Maybe that's why we have to wait while others have been assigned? I'm tired of waiting already....I need to know where on the boat I will be!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yes, GTY Cat 6!! I sent an email asking why they don't assign , but they didn't answer the question - just said they checked my reservation and hadn't been assigned yet!!!:confused3 :lmao:

OMG, I am on hold waiting for my interview time!!

The HR recruiter remembered me, I applied for an AP Supervisor job last year and she interviewed me on the phone and wanted to bring me in but the salary was no where near what I needed!!

Yippeeeee - I interview Monday!

That's great V! Good luck I'm sure you'll do well:thumbsup2

V...I'm so happy for you! What time on Monday so we can send positive pixie dust to you.....also to Noel at 1pm eastern.

I hope they're willing to pay you everything you're worth! And I hope you get it if you want it!!!!! :cloud9:
I meet with HR for an hour starting at 11am and then an hour for the finance dept. It's right across the street from my work now.

Trying to catch up while the NEW AC guys are here. Know I am missing some important news but am trying.

First, my jaw hit the desk when I heard the news about Lillygator's dog. We are so sorry this happened to your family. Apologize for bringing up an emotional subject, just really wanted you to know our family is thinking of you. Truly sorry for your loss.
Thank you....I just have to remember she is probably running around with her mom now. She was a good girl....and is missed.

Ohio John!

Sure you know the Cleveland Indians are moving into a new home shortly for Spring Training here in Arizona. The new training complex is being built only five minutes from our home. We will be adopting the Indians as our new Spring Training team to watch. Nothing beats Spring Training in Arizona. Well . . . . . . take that back, Florida would be awesome!
Wow, I hadn't heard it was official....DH will be devastated...loved the Winter Haven games...we could walk right into the locker room!:thumbsup2

That's great V! Good luck I'm sure you'll do well:thumbsup2

Thanks! I have about 15 pages of interview questions printed out that I am going to go over this weekend. I am glad it's Monday rather than later in the week so I can get it over with. I hope all goes well and that it's a fit for both them and me! :yay:

I can't tell you how I am feeling though, I am so excited....honestly I am so gald the HR rep remembered me!

Just caught up:thumbsup2 I may have missed a few pages in there somewhere.

Deb-so glad that you like the new Dr. office and their nurses...the nurses and their care make all of the difference in the world:goodvibes

Congrats Daniel...you did it:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

V-Hope you get the job ...unfortunately moving companies is the fastest and easiest way to move up in payscale and up the ladder in title.

John-Gator Growl is the biggest and SGP (it was when I was there and assume still is) the #1 student run concert promoters in the US. I used to do that stuff when I was there Growl/Homecoming. SG. SGP, Blue Key type stuff when I was there. If you never have gone to the campus or the swamp you must go sometime with V and the family it is amazing...so much maybe your DD would be a Gator someday:rolleyes1

Jackie-congrats on sticking to the date and the progress starting to show :cool1: You could do it.

Peg- can't wait to hear about Cabo

Venetia- what a sweet little girl...I do have to admit my fav pic was the end of the day...you've got to love that priceless

Hope everyone else is well.

Ok some no brainer questions(some people don't get it when they interview) don't bad mouth your previous employer be PC in your answers and don't get nervous be confident that you are the right person(but not obnoxious though you know what I mean)

My fav questions I asked were:

What do you like most about your current job? What do you like least?

What's your stregth in your current position? and what do you need to work on? (my fav answer when I was asked this is that I work too much and need to balance my work and home life more:lmao::rotfl2: I do have workaholic tendencies but pleeease;) )

Are you all doing door signs etc? I have absolutely no idea how to go about them, so not sure what to do. Not techy at all, so they would be so basic(stickers etc) they would look pathetic.

Could pinch a few off stateroom doors on our cruise in December I suppose!!!:rotfl:

Door signs are really easy. I just bought some magnetic paper from Staples and will be printing out some cute designs/words, etc on them.

Friday night-- I hope everyone is winding down and relaxing!

Well, the AC unit does have to be replaced. The good news is they seem much more professional and walked through everything we need to know. Will be replaced Monday morning at a cost of only $2,800. Much better than the $10,000 we were looking at yesterday. Thought we might have to cancel this cruise! This is much easier to take. Plus, it will be way more efficient and lower our energy bill. What normally runs us $400 during the summer months, should after Monday run $275. In the long run, it will pay for itself.

Now we just have to make it through the weekend. Going to look to see what the Wigwam resort would cost for the weekend. Only minutes from our house, it would almost be like we are at home - only much cooler.

Thanks!

Funny thing, my last leadership class at the hospital was resume writing, interviewing etc.....I am sure they didn't want it used this way.

My mom is an HR Director so luckily, I have her input as well.
I hate those strengths and weakness questions.

My previous emplyer asked what animal I would compare myself to....when I was hired she gave me a list and wow the interpretations are amazing! Cats/lions are viewed as lazy, etc.

Early October 2002 - when I was pregnant and due 10/25...our A.C went out.....if you know FL it is still HOT then, It took a week to get a new one....TORTURE!

You'll do well V:thumbsup2

By the time I always get a chance to catch up everyone's gone:confused3 Must be a westcoast thing it's 3:19 pm my time on Fri. The last couple of days no sleep here my DS asthma has been acting up so breathing treatments for him Tues. night/morning? 1:30am Wed./Thurs. night/morning 4am(better) well that day he had a field trip to see Charlotte's Web play in Tempe/ASU 40min. bus ride (I was one of the chaperones)he slept all the way there and all the way back...he looked so tired and I thought it was the trip since a lot of the kids slept on the bus trip back too we got home from school and he fell asleep on our entry room floor so I took him to the Dr. at 5pm and he had no fever, lungs clear (even though his asthma was still acting up some), clear throat(strep throat going around now at school) everything fine  but Dr. said he could be getting sick but he's fine now. My DS begs to go to sleep at 6:30pm so I let him took his temp. 102.9 gave him his breathing treatments and Children's Tylenol couple hours later he was up coughing(asthma) give him more treatments and take his temp. 99.4 then went back to bed couple hours later 4amish he's up again give him treatments and take his temp 104.4 :scared1: checked 3/4times to make sure call on-call nurse and did what they said seem to work went back to bed early am he's crying and then comes in my room covered in blood:eek: didn't know where it was coming from....nosebleed. :sad2: and vomitted because the blood was draining to the back of his throat when he was sleeping and he must of swallowed a lot. Took him to Dr. nosebleed related to high fever...has sometype of virus that there are no symptoms except for a fever. So needless to say he didn't go to school and he seems to be getting better....never a dull moment. I felt bad that I had to cancel because I was volunteering in one of his teachers class to grade math test. So he missed his math/spelling tests. Oh well.

I'm sure you know this but here in AZ due to the heat some A/C companies will try and rip you off and overcharge and tell you you need a new unit when you don't etc... That happened to my neighbor and her A/C unit sounds and is worse now than before she replaced it...she just wanted maintenance and ended up with more:sad2: Fortunately, we have to a/c units here so she could at least be in half her house:) Multiple quotes...very smart:thumbsup2
