Shelly, my wife and I would love to spend time with your family (and any other Mayer friends) when you come out to California.

To see the sights in Los Angeles, you can see them all in about 2 or 3 days. Depending how much time you want to spend at each place (shopping, site seeing, eating). Most people want to spend a couple of hours at the beach because they haven't been to the ocean - and if you want to see a show or television taping like Jay Leno or Jimmy Kimmel, you need to plan ahead a bit for that and the time.

I'm writing all the DL info down Seacrest!! I hope we can make the trip within the next few years! You'll show us all the sights too, won't you???
Except we will have 2 kids with us! I bet you know of lots to do with 2 little boys!!

I just have to talk DS8 into the flight! He thinks the flight to Florida is too long. It usually takes under 2 hours!! Ah, that kid!!

I know you said 2 full days for the parks, but how many days to see all the sights?


JO - Last week I got a ding from PIT to LAX for $66! I think it was for February though. So keep your eye out. I never thought it would be that low to fly to California!

Yes, the next nearest airport is in Memphis which is nearly a 3 hour drive. DH just doesn't like the idea of that. Our airport is only 30 to 40 minutes away (depending on traffic which we try to avoid.)

How long do you have to drive for your different airports?

from my house my home airport is about 20 min... to the other airport it's about 45 min... not too bad....

My wife and I would love to take you and your husband around town - Hollywood, Hollywood Blvd. Kodak Theater, El Capitan (Disney) Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Farmers Market, Universal City Walk, Olvera Street. We can even take a subway ride on our new subway system. We can drive you so that you don't have to stress out on the traffic and getting to all the places. We know where to park and what to see etc. Just let me know!

Lunch report: Joe's Pizza - Slice of Sicillian with pepperoni on it, 6 garlic knots and a coke. Now, if you have seen Spiderman 2 where Toby Maguire is delivering Joe's Pizza in NYC - this is their new Joe's Pizza here in Santa Monica. Had to try it out and today was the day. The pizza was good, crust was excellent. Smelled the garlic knots...omg 6 for 2$ they were deadly. No vampires are going to get me the next few days. I can stiill taste them in my mouth. Washed it all down with a coke (from a glass bottle!) Yum!

So Dh told me that he has a company trip this August in Montreal Canada. So I think we are all going to go. I would take the kids because it is for a whole week.

Okay, a trip to Jackson Hole for us is still (possibly) in the works. Looks like maybe August. Depends on the end of the year thing with Dh's work.

Good morning! Thank you everyone for asking about DS. He actually didn't have a fever this morning and wanted to go to school. So I let him go since it is only a half day. He must be doing okay, I haven't heard from the school! I hope this is the end of it, but I will see how he's doing when he gets home.

Mella - So great to hear from you!! What wonderful news!! Congratulations!! When are you due?

Wow looks like all the MAYers are traveling this year!! I'm not sure if we will be going anywhere other than Disney this year. The kids and I might join DH on one of his training class trips. He has several this year. But unfortunately they aren't anywhere exciting.

Someday I will get to CA and meet up with the Seacrests! And someday I will make it to NYC and meet up with Huggie & Mari! (but first I will meet Huggie & Mari at WDW!! )

So when is someone coming to Pittsburgh??? Jodi and I will give you the big tour! Actually there is quite a bit to do in the city, that is once you've mastered driving through it and can get where you want to go! I've never seen a more confusing city to drive in.

JO- did you get a shipping confirmation from Disney shopping??? I got mine this morning!

A foggy day here in Santa Monica. Should get up to about 65.
Had a great dinner yesterday with some friends. Went to a small place that had Mexican and El Salvadorian food. Had pupusas and plantains. Very good. My son had a burrito. It was about a foot long and three inches wide and he ate all! I will post up the before and after pictures tonight. LOL!

Shelly: Glad to hear your son is feeling better today.

Mari: How did the painting go?

Huggie: Congrats on the trip up to Canada!

Lake: How far are you from Banff? I have an itch to visit there one day. And I would love to take a train ride anywhere in your country - I love trains!

Jo: How are your Disneyland plans coming along? I am stopping by the SM Chamber of Commerce and will pick up some brochures on LA and the local sites for you too.
