Dining is now in the capable hands of DCL (verified this morning....)

They will be processing us all in the next couple weeks...

Don't freak out when you check your reservations and happen to see another 258 or so names on your reservations....

Yes Capt you read that right.....

258 souls at Capt's dining.....

That is all....

PS.... All you GTY's send me your room #'s as you get them....

People linked with other non-DIS reading cabins, make sure that you torture your tablemates accordingly until they divulge their #'s as well.

Yes 6pm was what we requested. We also requested PLA.

Rotations have not been finalized at disney level yet....

As for anyone wanting to ask for a specific waitstaff.... Debi indicated to me that once on-board you should contact dining directly with that request. (Probably same place as Palo ressies perhaps) (as it seems many wait staff contracts seem to be up shortly and Debi didn't want me to add anything to the group request.)

My pleasure... I'll accept donations to the out-of-work relief fund for DIS addicts still attempting to cruise and maybe go on one shore excursion. Hoping to still get to Las Caletas at least.

You know we love ya K!!:love2:

I could go on FOREVER about all the wonderful Historically significant things there are to see and do in Philidelphia!!!

Get mugged...
Live in a crappy overpriced row house..
Have really really crappy public schools...
Get yourself a better job by commuting to Joisey....
Pay tolls daily crossing the river to said job.
Drive an insane amount of miles daily because everything is so spread out...
(You might as well live 40 miles away since that's what you'd put on your car daily anyway...)

Oh wait..you just want to visit..Afraid i lived there. No incentive could make me move back there....

Although i have to say. The WAWA, cheesesteaks, amoroso rolls, Tastykakes, and soft pretzels do make it hurt less....

DC is nice to visit too...Again... You don't want to live there...

Gettysburg...Same thing. Historic in the middle of NOWHERE with slim to no services.

Just ask M for her 34,529,457,458,968 reasons for not promoting life in the DC area....:rolleyes1

Short version, bunch of not so personable supervisors who have no one supervising them so they took her occassional visit to the DIS as an excuse to show her the door and hire "one of their own"

(ok, so maybe I embellished about the "hiring one of their own" but wait, I bet that's next)

Kinda what I thought. :sad2:

Hmmm , this is not looking good for the Capt being in Capt's Dining ... Geddings contract is not up , as I said he emailed me to make sure I put in the request , now I may have to move cause he may not be in our rotation (Usually when you get on board and request a server your moved to there rotation as opposed to yours ) This sucks , When I talked to Debi awhile ago she said requesting waitstaff wouldnt be an issue

i give up...

May I say a massive big thank you for all of the hard work both of the organisers of the linked Dinners have put in, this is a big task to organize and a very nice guesture from all who put in so much work,
THANK YOU

Yes I am sure they will enjoy it, DW getting better now. Was bad,

I have been asking my kids at Scouts and Guides but nothing was happening much, do not wish to commit if we cannot do it our end.

On banners remember they have tightened up and only put up on Panama day, the Captain sends a note around to your room if you have it up all cruise.

We had a union jack up all 2005 cruise, but in 2007 we were told to take ours down.

As we're an inside cabin (unless the upgrade fairy is generous) it will be going up on my parents verandah & it is safe to say they won't want it up all cruise! Already got DH to sort out the flexi ties & scissors are in my checked baggage, so hopefully we're good to go & easy to identify on shutters photos

Coming onboard to the discussion group late and missed the orders for the T-*****s. Any chance there will be a second "late" order going in that I could get in on?

Probably afraid it would provoke attacks by pirates, the Spanish, the French, or whoever....

We don't need to stinkin Capt to have a great time! Don't you worry or think a thing about it! Everything is going to be perfect. :thumbsup2

Wait - you mean the captain actually shows up for dinner? I just assumed it was a way to differentiate the two seatings. I would much rather have dinner with DIS folks than share a table with the captain, though I'm sure he must be very nice.... :cool2:

:scared: Better watch out Coral...you'll be charged with mutiny and be made to walk the plank!!! pirate:

I first posted this on the weekend and received a couple suggestions which I have added to the design. If anyone else has any thoughts, let me know. Otherwise, I'll post a link to the full size version later tonight or tomorrow.

I have a couple other designs that might be useful...

This one is a quick modification to one I did for our last Western cruise. (It used to say Grand Cayman) I did it as T-shirts since we usually wear T-shirts when snorkeling and such to try and protect us a little more from getting burned - but it could also be a door magnet.

If anyone is interested, I'll post a full size version. Just let me know.

The next one is usually used as an iron-on for a pillowcase. It could also be put onto a nightshirt...

The full size version is available here

Also, a few months ago I posted these. They are fun for magnets.

The full size plain one is here. The full size one with date is here.

If anyone else has any ideas for magnets they would like me to take a try at, just let me know.
