Since we're not going anywhere this weekend, the wifey decided we are going to play Fort wilderness tonight in the back yard. Ya' think the neighbors will think I am crazy when I go to the front yard just to blow an airhorn so miss wifey can hear "the boat". I think many beers will be consumed.

Did all of you who have tweeny daughters get your free 3D glasses from WalMart for the Hannah 3D concert on the Disney Channel on the 26st?

12 Days 10 Hrs 41 Mins 41 Secs until we leave for the Fort! :cool1:

It was Mom's day out of the house so I spent this hot day kicking back with the kids enjoying the AC in the house for a while, then working on the trailer getting things ready for the trip. Actually took up the floor heat vents and cleaned out the sand and pine needles that got in their earlier this year. Now that is BORED!

Was out late last night with the oldest whose band got a chance to play at a local bar, I had to go because they were under age. Guess they were OK because this is the second time at this place and got asked to come back, and one guy walked up and tossed a $20 at the drummer.

Kids spent some time running through the lawn sprinkler for a while, just a laid back day.

Where are they giving 'em away at (which dept.) in your Wal-Mart? I saw a pair in the TV Guide or some mag. that you could buy in the checkout line, but I couldn't find 'em elsewhere. Thanks.

We got 3D glasses when we saw Journey to the Center - yesterday. Think those will work for the TV broadcast? I could care less about Hannah... just would like to see if a 3D broadcast is possible.

Years ago one of our local TV stations made a big deal out of being the first station IN THE WORLD to broadcast a movie in 3D (it's so long ago now, that DH & I can't remember what movie it was). Anyhow, this station partnered with all the Tampa Bay Area 7-11's for the 3D glasses. I must have driven to every stinkin' 7-11 in Sarasota county to find the glasses. After all that work, there was absolutely nothing remotely resembling 3D in that broadcast!!:headache: Of course in those days TV's were still vacuum tubes & digital what?:confused3 Hell...cable TV was brand new & you were one of the "in" people if you had cable! One of the great "pick-up" lines of the 70's was.... "Hey...I got cable!" :rotfl:

I got them last night, and I would have walked right past them had my daughter not stopped me. Just as you walk in, there was a stand..like a dvd kiosk with Hanna on top. You couldn't actually see the glasses, well, maybe a tall person could  . We had to reach up and inside to get them. I don't know if all Wal-Marts have it in the same area, but I bet the kiosk is the same.

I guess I will have to make a trip to Wallyworld tomorrow. The Disney Channel is advertising is so much, my son is talking about it in his sleep. Geesh!
