When our kiddos were launched is when I rediscovered WDW. I love to plan the trips. I love to fly into Orlando and ride the bus to the resort. I love for my luggage to magically appear in my hotel room.

I love the roller coasters. The shows. The food.

I can't be the only "over 50" WDW lover. :rotfl:

Who else will fess up?

me,me,me! Sucker for all things Disney. Have been hooked since I was a little kid watching Walt introduce Disneyland on the little tiny black & white screen (in the great big television cabinet...remember those!) Wanted to go then, want to go now! :cool1:  :cool1:  Will be celebrating my 52nd birthday at Cape May Cafe on September 5!

With no kids along! Just me & DH for 6 days & 6 nights of Disney bliss (and FREE FOOD...which we'd pay for anyway if it wasn't free, cuz we love Disney food. But that's why we get to go for my birthday...convinced DH it was a great bargain:lmao: But actually he liked the idea because it got him out of having to find me a b-day present:rotfl2:

Love everything, characters, rides, resorts...leaving in 10 days!

I just joined that "50" club this year and hubby has been a member for 5 years as of Monday.
We are going in Dec. and are like two little kids who can't wait.:cool1:
You do know that in Disney everyone is "AGELESS":confused3

DH (62) and me (53) are big fans of Disney. We bought AP's last year for our anniversary and have managed 4 mini vacations and 6 day trips since last September. Can't wait for our next trip in September to celebrate our anniversary. Just absolutely love it!!:lovestruc

Happy Birthday! We are arriving on Sept 7th! I just celebrated my 52nd two weeks ago.

:happytv: Yes, loved watching Disney on Tv, old black and white, big consoles on Sunday nights!

I am so glad to see others over 50 that love WDW. DH and I went last year. We booked again this year too. Will we go again next year, who knows. We are both in our mid 50's.:yay:

Yes it's true....I'm 55 years young, but while at Disney I'm an 8yo. This past June, my wife and I took a special retirement trip to DLR and then onto WDW for 18 days. What can I say, but I love Disney!!!

vote us in to.!!!! i think we like it more thank the kids. haha. soon we will take our grandson...........cant wait ...to look through the eyes of a little one again.

I just turned 55 last month and I still love WDW! Have been going since disneyland opened..I was two. LOL

Went to WDW when it opened in 1971. But it has gotten intense since 1999 when we (DD) and I started going after my hubby passed away in 1998. DD and I went as much as 4 times a year. Now she is in college so we don't go as much anymore, which makes me sad. We were there at Christmas for two days, and I am hoping her schedule will let us to for Halloween. I will know next week I think. I just LOVE the place!

DH and I are members of this very elite group also. We bought into DVC after our children were grown. We've made 3 trips to WDW this year, going to Disneyland Paris next month, already have 2 trips back to WDW booked next year along with a DCL cruise.

I'll be landing at the World on my 59th BD next month on Sept. 19th. And to help celebrate my 60th, we've rented a kid! And he'd darn well better be able to keep up with us.

Remember, it's not your age, it's your heart!

I'd love to know where to rent a kid! I haven't received a ticket to the grandmother train yet...and look forward to dragging kids through the park. :yay:

I'm in the "Club", too!.
I've gone with my parents, I've taken my children and now my grandchildren, but no one loves it as much as I do.

DH is 58 and I'm 55. We're still kids at heart as we both LOVE Disney!! We do all the roller coasters and TOT too! :cool1: We can't wait till our next trip.....30 days to go!!!! Woo hoo!!
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

My first visit to WDW I was over 50..I then bought a DVC membership and we go at least once a year..We will be leaving in a few for another trip/cruise! I am tryng to get up the nerve to go to Disney Paris..The planning is a bit more intense..but I am working on it!

We were 52 and 61 when we started going more than once a year in 2004. We have the most wonderful, relaxing vacations at DVC resorts, taking our time, doing what we please, and sometimes just soaking in the atmosphere. We adore our DGD, but it's a whole different experience when she's with us. "Relaxing" is the last word I'd use for those trips!

My husband and I turned 50 this year. He's not a big Disney fan but I love WDW enough for both of us. No grandkids-heck not even a marriage yet with my kids but I am looking forward to the day. DH gave me pts at BWV 2 years ago and my 14 yo daughter and I are making good use of them!

Not "50" til next year but DH is 51. We celebrated our 30th at WDW last Sept and loved it so much we did the bounceback for this Sept.
I think it will become a yearly thing for us. It is such a different experience without kids. Love it!:wizard:
