ray said it was a good game. he didn't watch the whole thing - he was going back and forth between that and the alabama game. i'm just glad we're bowl eligible now! and i'm looking forward to next saturday!

oh, you can't smoke inside here either. they just decided to ignore that rule there. i love that you can't smoke in restaurants and in most clubs now. it's so nice to be able to go out and come home not smelling like an ashtray! but some places just either completely ignore the law or turn a blind eye to it. i have friends who smoke so of course i'm just kind of indifferent about it. but i do wish they'd enforce it a little better!

by the way, eli (my dog) is named after eli manning. and we got him in 2005 - before he was super bowl champion!

What a party! That Elvis cracked me up, he had the moves and the outfits. Its great to see you all had fun and made the best of it. I agree with you and the no smoking inside rule, I wish they always had that rule.. I hated smelling like smoke at the end of the night.

We went on Friday! We were on the TTA at the time it happened and we just happened to go by and see the fireworks shooting up from the castle as we went!! That is really weird his site says that!!

are you sure it wasn't just the regular "dream along with mickey" show when you saw the fireworks? they do have one of those at 5:35 normally. i don't know if they have fireworks during the castle lighting show though. they may - i'm just not sure!

It could have been! Because I can tell you that at 6:30, we were experiencing some heavy rain at the park and people were scattering everywhere!!!
But, the christmas lights were on the castle before then! I just know when I saw it all lit up, I told Chad, "I need to let Dawn know what time this started!!!"

they have some really cute christmas stuff they're slowly putting out. i saw a tree skirt and a mickey wreath that i loved.

That's very cute! Is your tree up already? We normally don't put up any Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but I know a lot of people do.

There was just a little Christmas stuff out at Opry Mills when I was there about two weeks ago. Nothing too exciting as of then, although they did have the Mickey wreath. I'm probably going to get some stuff from DTD next week, so I'm holding off on any Disney Store purchases right now. Too bad Once Upon a Christmas won't have the 25% off deal, though!

it was a blast. you would've thoroughly enjoyed it, being an elvis fan. that guy was really good with the moves and decent with the vocals. but he knew he looked ridiculous and was making jokes about himself.

yeah, i've had an earache since sunday because of all the smoke bothering my sinuses. if ray had his choice, he would change the name of our older dog from sherman to peyton. the whole manning thing started when peyton was at the university of tennessee. ray's a huge UT fan. so he started following peyton and that sparked his interest in eli too. personally i like eli better - i think he's more humble. but they both seem like good guys. my sister's boyfriend is a HUGE NY giants fan (he lived up north in connecticut all his life until he joined the military and was faithful to the giants and it finally paid off last year!) and every time he comes over he pets eli and says, "how does it feel to be a super bowl champion????"

oh, no - no christmas tree yet! i refuse to do it until after thanksgiving. my neighbors put their outside christmas decorations up on like november 2nd!!!!! crazy. but hey, if that's what they like, then more power to them. if i'm here for thanksgiving (which this year i will be), i usually put it up the day after because i STAY AWAY from the stores and malls and pretty much hang out at home all day. if i'm in nashville for thanksgiving then i usually put it up the weekend after that. my mom, grandparents and uncle are coming to visit the friday after thanksgiving this year so my mom will be able to help me put up the tree. that'll be fun!

i really don't need to buy anything else - i need to save my money for disney! i know i'll see stuff there that i want more than what they have at the disney store. i hope i don't max out my credit card!
