Very nice jenbear!
OH Goody, goody, goody!! That is so creative; and the pin was a perfect, economical choice!! I love it!
Thanks Leisa! I was looking at all these sites that did custom gift baskets. One popped up that had a resort theme with pins, magnets, stuffed animals and other paraphernalia related to a particular resort. I figured, instead of bombarding her with stuff she doesn't really need, I'd get her the Poly resort pin and put it with the poem and a flower leia on the table or maybe the bathroom counter (exact location TBD)
Very creative poem. She is going to love it!
Very nice jenbear!
That throw is beautiful!
It couldn't possibly compare to the quilts Liesa makes.
Your plans look good to me. I've been meaning to ask, how do you get your itineraries on the DIS? Do you take a screen shot and paste it in paint?
It's rather complicated. I use a Mac, first of all. So first I create the itinerary using Pages. Then export the document as a PDF. I then open the PDF in Preview. After that, I open each page in a new window in Preview and save it as a JPEG. Finally, I upload them and put them on the DIS! Did you catch all that?
I'm doing the same thing with my mom: make the plans, ask her what she thinks, make changes accordingly.
It works wonders, doesn't it?
The ASMu food court isn't all that awful, but I'm sure WPE will be awesome!
I've read mixed reviews. I wouldn't want to eat there for dinner. Breakfast would be okay. Can't wait to try WPE!
Also, Summer Nightastic is only supposed to go until August 14th.
Is pages the equivalent to Excel? I have Windows 7.
Count me in! We will be going to the Poly June 6th. Hopping to pick up some updates!
In other cruise news, my documents arrived at work the other day. I've also completed online check-in. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the day to come. 14 days and counting! I'm still a bit nervous about my first cruise. My biggest concern is the occasional Norovirus outbreaks. I know it's rare but with my whole vomitting fear (yes, it's a legitimate fear) it has got me worried. That, and the whole seasickness. I'm guessing it doesn't happen very often since so many people cruise. But I'll still be packing some Gravol to be on the safe side. I'm such a worrier.
Today I tried to book a tour for our April trip - Magic Behind Our Steam Trains. When I called to book for the date, the CM told me it wasn't available. Really? From what I read on AllEars, it runs on Thursdays (The day we're trying to book is Thursday April 29th). There was no way that it could be booked up on that day.... Is it really that popular? Every time I call the Tours department, I get this funny feeling that they don't know what they're doing. Sometimes I get someone who is great! Other times it's someone who can barely speak English. I'm going to try calling again next week to see if I get the same response. Stay tuned.
If I can't get the Steam Train tour, I'll have to see if I can fit in something else. Maybe we'll end up doing Keys to the Kingdom again.
Our ME booklet came for our Poly stay Now we have everything for our trip. 32 days to go!
I'm sure your cruise will be fine, but I agree, it's better to be safe than sorry!
Thanks for the reassurance
About the Steam Trains tour, according to my 2010 Passporter, this tour was on hiatus at press time, so it's possible that it really isn't available. That's annoying about the people in the tour department though
Hiatus? That's really unfortunate. Wonder why the CM couldn't tell me that? I'll have to go back to the drawing board on this one.
Yay for the rest of the ME stuff coming! And yay for only 34 days! I'm at 59
I think of all the tours available, I'd most love the trains or the Behind the Seeds tours. I'd be really sad if it weren't still available!
Maybe we'll do the Behind the Seeds tour. I really want to do a tour but not break the bank to do it. If we can't decide on a tour, I'm sure the Poly will give us enough to do!
That would be a good one! And if I remember right, it wasn't too expensive...
Hopefully you won't have a problem with seasickness on your cruise. I've only been on one, but it wasn't a problem. We gave the kids motion-sickness stuff when we first started out, but nobody had any issues so that was all that was ever dispensed. I do remember it taking at least two days though, after the trip was over, before we could get rid of the feeling that we were rolling with the waves. That was kind of weird.
Hello! Welcome to the fun! Have you stayed at the Poly before? You're sure to hear all about my stay in my TR
Never stayed at the Poly before. I did get a chance to see the grounds and ate at O'hanas during our 2007 trip so I do have a bit of reference. BreezysMom's thread on the resort board is a huge help as well.
I should really start looking at that thread in detail!
Ohhhh. Have you started your less than a month dance yet?
My ticket is off by a day so it really should say 27 days. I didn't want to change it so Mickey would be at the beginning again. I know, I'm fussy.
My grandmother has really started going downhill. She has to get a blood transfusion tomorrow I was a bit shocked when I heard that.
the Steam Train tour is not available. I've read elsewhere on the boards that people are still going on this tour so it couldn't be on hiatus I'll confirm this today.
I better get my butt in gear to finish the itinerary
