Our Escape Wedding TR/PJ ~ 06/2010 WP/Mizner's/Citricos

Your pictures are wonderful..I really enjoyed seeing them. You both just look so happy and beautiful. The colors are great. I loved your shoes and his socks. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Wendy,

First of all,CONGRATULATIONS!

I enjoyed watching your photos and I love your Engagement Story.. ;)

I lurk over here, but have never posted. I wanted to say that yours is one of the most beautiful simplistic happiest weddings I've seen on this board in a very long time.

Everything just perfect.

And your wedding photos are beautiful! Clear. In focus. Not overly photoshopped. Beautiful color. Just perfect photos!

Very well done. :thumbsup2

Congratulations.

Wow, the table setup was gorgeous, so simple and beautiful!

thank you! Citricos did it all...all we did was give them the items! They were awesome. :goodvibes

Thank you for the kind words. We were really happy with how everything turned out, even with the rain! Our photographer was the quintessence of what we were searching for our wedding (bold, clear images and minimal photoshopping). Of course we wanted editing, but I wasn't a fan of dramatic effects so I think they turned out nicely. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures! :goodvibes

Hi Wendy
Sorry but it's just me again with more questions about your reception at Citricos!!!
What time was your reservation at the restaurant?
Did you find yourself hanging about waiting for the fireworks?
Was the music piped in to where you watched the fireworks from?
Thanks for your help (again)

no problem!! :) Our reservation was for 5:30 pm but we were running a bit behind so we ended up there closer to 6 pm (they were totally fine with that btw). The fireworks were at 10 pm that night...and you might be thinking, "omg how did they stay there for 4 hours?!" But Citricos spaced out our entire 4-course meal perfectly over probably 3 hours (the managers said it would take about 2 hours normally) because they knew we were interested in seeing the Wishes show. There was a lot of drinks and stuff going on so our guests had a really fun time talking and hanging out with everyone...we didn't even realize it was time for the show until the Citricos staff told us it was time to head down to the pier! They let us take all of our drinks with us and let us use the employees entrance down which is literally right off the dining room, so we didn't wait much at all once we were down there either.

We watched the show from the GF pier next to Narcoossee's, right near the big gazebo. There was music piped in on it's own and we were with a bunch of other guests watching the show...it was so much fun! We even had people visiting from overseas take our picture :)

Hope that helps!!

Thanks that really helps!!
I am thinking of ditching the whole DP thing and just doing as you did and watch the show frm the pier. I am sure the Citrico's staff will be just as accomodating to us as they were to you!!! They have certainly been very helpful so far, answereing e-mails etc!!
Thanks again for your help

Wendy, your wedding was so beautiful. Have loved looking through all the new photos and it's definitely confirmed for me that we're making the right decision by coming over to Disney for our wedding. You are a big inspiration to me (sorry that sounds so naff!) x

I'm positive the Citricos staff/managers will be just as accommodating. When we decided to not have a DP we never cemented the idea of watching the fireworks into our plans either (we never put the information as a part of the schedule in our invites or anything - it was listed in our Welcome Newsletter as a "fun idea"). We told ourselves and our guests about them when we got to Citricos and everyone was up for it so we let the Citricos staff/managers know. We didn't want the fireworks to command our schedule at dinner. But if you want to make it part of your overall schedule I'm sure that will work great too!! Good luck! :goodvibes

Thanks Wendy
You have been so helpful to me and I am so grateful!!
If my VR is even half as beautiful and memorable as your wedding I will be a happy princess!!!

Wow thank you so much!! I really appreciate that. I'm so glad you enjoyed looking through my wedding. You've definitely made the right decision...Disney weddings are amazing! :woohoo: :cool1: You will have a wonderful time.

Hi girls :goodvibes

Now that all the wedding stuff is pretty much over with, the last couple things we had on our list were 1) send out our thank you cards, and 2) decide on our wedding photo album. We sent off all the thank you cards today :thumbsup2

After a lot of thought, we decided for now to go through a do-it-yourself photo book path versus ordering a professional album. As much as we'd love a professional version, we decided for now it's a bit too expensive.

I did a lot of research on what company to go through and we decided to use AdoramaPix. There's a couple reasons why this company stuck out for us:

-Fantastic reviews
-User friendly online album design tool
-Lay flat page design
-Photos printed on photo paper
-Affordable

We received the final product this week. We LOVE it. We opted for the UV protective coating on all the pages which gave a slightly glossy sheen but it's not distracting and gives the pages weight, which we really liked about the expensive pro photo albums. We also declined the option for additional editing because our photographer has already edited our photos (but this is an option for unedited photos). The lay flat page design is fantastic. I really wanted a collage style album that had simple clean lines so I designed it myself instead of using a preloaded template. We purchased a 10x10, 50 page book for about $100 ($10 off coupon for joining). I was able to use nearly 170 images in this album!!! :yay:

One detail is they only offer books in 26 or 50 pages, so you really have to plan out the album because there isn't an option to just add a certain number of pages that you might need. I originally only wanted a 26 page book but quickly realized there was no way I could fit all I wanted to. But upgrading to 50 pages was super easy and it fit everything perfectly! I'd completely recommend designing an album through AdoramaPix. They make it easy to order additional copies, too. :goodvibes

WOW Wendy -- that turned out beautifully!! You did a really nice job on the photo layout, too. :thumbsup2

it looks great Wendy! I love it.

we are a little behind. I just got our thank you cards...we still need to fill them out and I haven't even started our book! so I am impressed how ahead you are!

Lovely! I'm gonna use them too! My MIL would definitely appreciate a great looking album like that.:thumbsup2

Hi Wendy! Wow your album turned out absolutely gorgeous!! It really looks like a professional album! I was planning on using Blurb for my wedding album, but now think I need to switch! Congrats again hun

Wendy, that photo album looks INCREDIBLE! I am totally going to use them for our album after our wedding in October. I really wanted to create my own but at the same time could not seem to find a site that i liked...that looks like the exact result i wanted!

I can only hope our wedding turns out as gorgeous as yours though :lovestruc
