09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #2

Hey let's get packed,
bring tops and flip flops if you've got em
No shoes, no shirt, no problems

You said it! :thumbsup2

Now it is almost 8:00 and I gotta go.

I will catch up tonight when I get home.

Have a great day!!!!!!

Monika--Flying out of Philly, it's only 20 minutes away, and going to AKL on Sat.:banana::banana:Waiting to call DVC. My luggage tags say Jambo House and my reservation says Kidani Village. Either is fine with me but don't want to lose my luggage.

It's amazing how this thread comes alive when it gets close to the hundred. Do you people have alarms on your computers????:confused3:happytv::happytv:

We're thinking of going to Beaches 'n Cream for dinner on Sat and staying to watch the fireworks off the bridge. I have an annual pass but my friend Gail isn't buying one until we get off the cruise. Every day in Sept. counts since we have been here the last 3 Septembers. Actually, my birthday is Sept. 17th and for the last three years my kids have sent me flowers for my b-day to whatever resort I was staying at. Talk about having trouble packing for the return trip. Last year's was a beautiful slice on cake all made out of flowers. No that was the year before. Last year was a Donald cup/bowl with flowers in it. Beautiful and actually was easier to pack. I use it for ice cream. The first year it was a Mickey holding a cake plate, boy was that tough.

I go off to finish the costume and you guys go CRAZY!! Congrats to the winners!!! Chris you did not offend - as first time cruisers we will be excited by the surprises but I can totally understand the lasck of need for that many of the same item and as others have said with the luggage restrictions something has got to give!!!

The photos are gorgeous and just make me so much more excited - thank you all so much for sharing !!!

Where is the world has Terrie been????????

We went on our first beach vacation last summer to Wildwood, NJ and spent a day at Cape May and fell in LOVE!!! DH really wanting to do the ferry to Lewes but we didn't have time - our next trip that is the plan....DH decided after that trip we will retire to WDW Oct-Apr and Cape May Apr-Oct:rotfl::rotfl:!!!

Thank you everyone for the well wishes for Anthony. I will call DCL and explain what happened. See everyone soon!:thumbsup2

We might see each other in line because I'm going to try to book Palo's for brunch. I wonder if their private dining room is booked. I don't have enough people for that anyway. :confused3 Oh, well. Here's hoping I am able to get a reservation.

Marsha,
We are 7 hoping for brunch. Maybe together we could get the private dining room. Chuck is going to go try for the brunch too.

this was just wrong.... I found the thread on the 2ND page.... :scared1: .... so this is just a bump to get us where we belong back at the top

DH left for his trip to Baltimore :sad2:

I told him he better be back in time for the Friday 6am pick because I am leaving with or without him. :rotfl2:

good news is Southwest has direct flights from Baltimore to orlando.

We are using Southwest and flying out of Baltimore. Depending on prices...we use Southwest and fly out of either Baltimore or Philadelphia

We usually fly Southwest direct out of Buffalo but this time Jet Blue had a better tiem and price to fly down and Southwest had a better return price with a plane change in BWI... which is ok with us....

If it turns out he leaves from Baltimore to Orlando, maybe you'll be on the same flight. :goodvibes

He'll be the run mumbling "my wife is going to kill me; I hope she packed my clothes" :lmao: and "why does drama always happen before our vacation" :rotfl2: and there might be a tear in his eye. :sad1:

we've been using JetBlue lately. The price has been good because we book so early but we also like the extra leg room seats not to mention the assigned seating. It's not a big deal but I like the window and DH likes the isle. With Southwest I always get the middle seat. :confused3

I CALLED DVC. They told me that you can still use points for the member cruise next year. I guess the Dream has 1200+ cabins, the Wonder only 800+. So hopefully may make it easier to get a cabin next year. Then again maYBE not:confused3

Do more or less people dress up for pirate night on the DVC member cruise? I would think more because most DVC members LOVE anything Disney.
