I am sitting here reading the board and then my heart starts to pound. I got so much to do and time is moving up fast.:confused:

Anyone else feeling overwhelmed packing up your hurricane Tranzy ( for our transatlantic crossing:rotfl:) I thought by now I would be organized NOPE:scared1:

You are not alone :sad2:.

Still busy busy busy Sarah. Though I guess you have a few more days than I do. I'm really feeling all knotted inside now.

Oh, I know, the anxiety level is rising big time.

We were on the 10/15/05 to 10/22/05 Magic. I don't know if it was a DVC member cruise, as we are not members.

DVC cruises are members only, so I'm sure it was a different one.

My poor dd. We can't figure out what her current allergy trigger is and she's been through 6 epi pens this week and 3 hospital visits. The pediatrician feels hopeful she will be recovered enough to fly safely on Wednesday. We thank god for steroids and epinephrine :)

P&PD for your DD :wizard::wizard:. How frustrating for you all.

Well this one was at least a size too small, so if you are correct with your sizing I bet you will be fine. Another one I got online wasn't as high as it looked, and I also think too small. The top just rolled down. Neither were a good look.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
(Not that any are to be honest;))

I tried a "slimming"-type mentionable and it really did nothing for me except make me feel uncomfortable. I think I'm just going to have to live w/the jiggle. Sorry, everyone :confused3.

I just checked which group I am in and this works great for me. Now how will I ever keep track of everything I have going on this cruise?

Corinna

Good question and the same one I've been asking myself!

Good night. I have an early start tomorrow as I am heading for a theme park with people from work. See you all tomorrow evening.

Corinna

Have fun, Corinna!

Ok it is taking hours to pack I mean hours and hours. Since we have little space I need to make sure that I have at least 2 shirts that go with each set of shorts. Not as easy as I thought lol. Cause I need to make sure they are also nice for dinner etc.:eek::eek:BUt I am making head ways I think I found the bed which is a good thing cause I need to sleep in it tonight:lmao::lmao:

Ok back I go. I told hubby I would be all packed by the time he got back :scared1::scared1:

All tastings EXCEPT BEER are full. There are 4 slots for beer - first come, first serve!!

OK - update as of 12:15 AM - Sunday.

2 beer slots
4 martini slots for the 25th (first tasting) The 26th is full!!

I am heading to bed and will check tomorrow morning and then again in the evening. After I do the evening check that is it, so speak now or, well, dont taste? :confused3

First come, first serve!

My DH and I are having a disagreement, I say the verandah rooms come with bathrobes he says no. Who wins? We are packing and robes take up so much room that I don't want to bring one if I don't have to. val

Just go online after a long, long day of packing and repacking so way behind. Saw your post and wanted to let you know NO ROBES!!

One less day before we leave and I didn't get too much done! I ended up working this afternoon at the Disney Store (where I think I called a little boy 'princess' by accident) and then we had company over for the evening to play some board games. It was a fun day, just not that cruise productive!

As far as CD's are concerned, I checked my online source and it only goes up through September 11 - but it did say Peter was still on board. HOWEVER, if other people who are on board right now have posted that it's Brent, I'm more likely to believe that.

I got my schedule for the rest of this week (well, until Wednesday) and I'm on the schedule every day! :scared1: Granted, I may not have to go in Tuesday or Wednesday night, but it has thrown a bit of a wrench in my plans.

I can't believe that we are leaving in just a few days! The thread is getting quieter and quieter as more people leave. I am looking forward to arriving in Spain - the big flight will be over for me then! :lmao:

We are packed....3 bags, 45 lbs, 42 lbs and 34 lbs. :thumbsup2 We could take another bag, but don't want to deal with anymore than we have to. We got enough mentionables in there so that I will not have to wash any of them until we get to BCV and we won't even have to turn them inside out!! Dennis will just have to pack up his CPAP in the morning and then we will head over to Spokane, visit our friends in Coeur D'Alene, ID on the way and have him drive us to the airport hotel and then car sit for us for the month. I love it when a plan comes together!! :cool2:

I have come to the conclusion that I will only get 2-3 hours of sleep over the next 4 days. There is just too much to do and I lost a few days due to a family health emergency. All is well now, but my dress alterations and DS costume for pirate night may not get completed. If I don't find some time to pack you all may see me in the same clothes the entire cruise.

As long as we see you, it doesn't matter what you are wearing. :grouphug:

Good morning .... D Day minus 4

Didn't sleep well as my mind was still buzzing and my "to do" list kept popping up .... hopefully will achieve a few jobs today and then I might get to sleep tonight.

Good night. I have an early start tomorrow as I am heading for a theme park with people from work. See you all tomorrow evening.

Corinna

Have fun Corinna ...... are you going to Alton Towers ?

Any for any singles looking for singles " the love boat" :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Near the end of the trip I got no answer. I just thought he was busy.

We got off the plane and I could tell something was wrong.

One of our dogs went lame. She had bone cancer in her hip. So she went to rainbow bridge while we were gone.

I used to love the TV show " The Love Boat " when I was a child .... in fact, I think it was that show which inspired my love of cruising and ships in general. When I was in my early 20s I worked with Princess Cruises and although I was based on the Royal Princess I visited friends on the original "Love Boat" the Pacific Princess and it was such a thrill. The show used to amaze me as they only had about 6 crew who popped up all over the place. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I also have a dog story ... we dog sat for my parents when they went on a cruise once. When I say "dog" she is more like a "daughter" to them and definitely above me in the pecking order, so basically she was their pride and joy. During the dog-sitting period DH decided to fix my parents loo seat, which was a bit loose. During the process the dog wandered into the bathroom a few times, which was ok, until DH came to look for the screws to put the loo seat back on. We searched everywhere, and checked the dog's mouth etc as she was a retriever and prone to putting thing into her mouth and carrying them around, but nothing was found.

A few days later, the dog started foaming at the mouth and appeared unwell, so we took her to the vets. The X-ray showed the screws lodged in her intestines and there was no option but surgery. My parents were due home in 3 days and phoned daily to check on their "princess" so rather than spoil their cruise when they could do nothing about it, we kept quiet about the dog and just said yes in the right places. It wasn't easy though.

Miraculously the dog pulled through, but it was touch and go for a while and my heart was in my mouth .... and we told them when they arrived home. They said we should have told them, but I still think I did the right thing.
:confused3:confused3:confused3

Ok .... enough chatter now .... I'm off to do cruise jobs !!!!!

I thought I quickly check in. I managed to get a lift to work with a colleague who is working today. This meant that I got to the office an hour to early. I had the best intentions to get some of my call monitoring done, but the system is down. So I am in the canteen playing on here instead.

I am having another cruise free day. By the time I get home tonight, had some dinner and checked in on here there won't be much time to do anything else. I am hoping that the materials that I ordered to do the replacement kits will arrive tomorrow. Then I can concentrate on finishing those and then demo kits off tomorrow evening. The last odds and ends that I need for the Pixie Dust that I am hoping to spread should get here on Tuesday so I finish that off on Tuesday evening so all that then remains to be done is the packing, which I will do Wednesday morning. I actually start to believe that everything will be done in time.

I did manage to find my magnets that are still at home. They somehow managed to get mixed up with the magnets I did for our vow renewal cruise next year.

See you all later. Now it just depends on how brave I feel when I get to the theme park. I am a coward when it comes to thrill rides.

Corinna

It is girl scout cookie time! My twin neices that are Beccas age are selling cookies if anyone wants a box or 12... LOL

If there is interest I will post a link to the web site for ordering!

Sorry to anyone outside of the US - but I don't think that cookies can go international! But, if anyone is interested, let me know and I will ask my SIL!

Hi Sue,

When my DW and I were in Florida last winter, the girls were selling cookies to be delivered to the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan. Since I'm gluten-intolerant, and can't eat cookies anyway, I bought some boxes for the troops. Since I'm a Scout leader, I always buy Girl Scout / Girl Guide cookies, even though I can't eat them, and that seemed to me to be a perfect solution. If this "cookies for the troops" is still going on, can I buy four boxes, and pay you onboard? :flower3:

See You Real REAL Soon!

Well according to me and Mandy and one or two others, there are plenty of spare T shirts being packed!!! I think we should give our room numbers for others in case of emergencies!!!:lmao:

My husband is not smiling when I make comments about how many things I am taking!!! Me thinks I will be getting some very sarcastic comments or big moans when he lifts the cases.:confused3

Well done Angie. I am so impressed with everyone who can pack sensibly. I do rather think I will be taking some things out of my bags. One thing in my favour is that much of the toiletries, sun cream etc will be used by the end of the cruise so hopefully one bag might be slightly lighter by then.;)

Good morning .... D Day minus 4

Didn't sleep well as my mind was still buzzing and my "to do" list kept popping up .... hopefully will achieve a few jobs today and then I might get to sleep tonight.

I had a bad night too. I was so tense by bed time my back was so bad.It hadn't been good all day. Not sure if it is something completely different to the usual problem I have or not, but I just couldn't sleep. I'm really hoping once I get away and relaxed everything will settle down.:)

I hope you manage to whisk through your 'to do' list super quickly and sleep well tonight.

Isn't it ridiculous really. This is supposed to be an exciting time, but we get stressed out. But, that means everything will be planned ready for us to enjoy ourselves completely!!!:dance3:

I know .... strange isn't it .... mind you I suppose it's understandable considering we have only had just under 2 years to get ready and prepared

:rotfl2::rotfl2::confused3:confused3:

Just quickly checking in, got most of my paperwork done, just some projected invoices to go and a back-up, then I'm done.
I am all packed except the last minute stuff to throw in, ie:visa, cash, passports, etc...
Have a list for tomorrow, pick-up euro's, get Holly groomed, pay some bills, inform Post Office of our trip, etc, etc......So close now!

With any luck you will get a small christmas gift from the tax man

Wouldn't that be nice, the tax man is usually not too nice to us! :headache:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: too bad we never thought of making a dis book of all the funny things we have read over the last 2 year :)

That would have been hilarious and a great memory!!! I wish I had the time to go back through and collect some funny quotes...:goodvibes

Good night. I have an early start tomorrow as I am heading for a theme park with people from work. See you all tomorrow evening.

Corinna

Have fun Corinna!:thumbsup2

Thank you for sharing that, now I don't feel so bad. I tried on a cami type yesterday too - had the same thought. Got them on ok but trying to take them off was a real bear. Got them partly over my head and then couldn't get them to move Only the thought of the how I would never live it down if they had to call the fire department because I couldn't breath made me continue to fight and finally it popped off like a rocket. Could have hurt someone if there had been two of us in the room. I stumbled out of the dressing room, my hair looking like I had been caught in a wind storm, and when the sales clerk asked if I wanted her to ring it up for me I just gave a weak smile and said "no thank you." Val

OMG sorry but that's hilarious Val........I can just see it!:rotfl:

I'm definitely living with my jiggle!:goodvibes:thumbsup2

I was thinking that too Amy...it'll get quieter by the end of the week...there'll only be a few of us left then!

Yep, plenty of spares here! :thumbsup2
Hope your back improves today Marilyn

:littleangel:

I got my schedule for the rest of this week (well, until Wednesday) and I'm on the schedule every day! :scared1: Granted, I may not have to go in Tuesday or Wednesday night, but it has thrown a bit of a wrench in my plans.

Does this mean our Wednesday night plans might need to change????

As long as she's wearing "something" and not taking fashion hints from the naked Barcelona dude :lmao:

My thoughts too!!! :rotfl:

Forget the clothes ..... just take a few tubs of body paint and paint new ones on each day. No one would notice !!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

.

Great list how about adding Do you Believe in Magic, Any pirates of the Caribbean. :)

Any for any singles looking for singles " the love boat" :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I have been thinking about her too.:hug:

Well you could be like me and not have a great list and just wing it :lmao::lmao:

Good idea much easier than a calendar I was thinking of using.

Good to know since one of the rooms is ours:laughing:

Well I was thinking about if anything bad happened on our trips.

I took my step son to Disney. Glenn ( my hubby) stayed home to look after the dogs.

I would email him ever couple of days. Always asking how the girls were doing?

Near the end of the trip I got no answer. I just thought he was busy.

We got off the plane and I could tell something was wrong.

One of our dogs went lame. She had bone cancer in her hip. So she went to rainbow bridge while we were gone.

She was a very big dog over 100 pounds. We orginally thought she was getting arthritis.

We took Cleo in when Glenn's mom passed away. We were her 3rd home. So it was very sad because she was our connection to Glenn's mom.

So my hubby knows not to ruin vacations either. Nothing we could have done. :(

That was good of your hubby... very sensible.

BUT , I wish everybody that went on vacation would leave instructions re there pets... I work in emergencys, this happens ALL The time, people wont make a decision re a pet they are looking after until they contact the owner.
This is really frustrating and totaly not fair on the animal in question.

I leave simple intstructions for my pets.. NO HEROICS.
If in doubt take the vets advice, dont waste time trying to get me in my pet is suffering, if it is the wrong decision ot doesnt matter just make one.
Countless times we end up with animals needing pts but carers just wont sign the paper, folks just done talk about it with pet sitters...ie are you happy to make that hoorible decision and am I happy to let you make it, I understand its not something that we want to think about but please do.
