My friend Vicki passed away on Good Friday. I am so glad she knew she was loved and thank each of you for the kind words and thoughts. She wore a baseball cap at her benefit that said, "Heaven Can Wait," and it did for a little while.

I am so sorry about your friend. A pastor told me once when my grandfather died that God just wanted them closer. It was comforting to me.

Im so sorry your friend passed away..

I've had a lot of loss in my family this year so far - my mom passed away on January 29th and my dad on March 24th (54 days apart) - and it is hard to lose those ones we love so much, but I try to find comfort in the fact that they're not sick anymore, and they have each other...

I'm sorry your friend's life ended too soon. I hope that her friends and family are able to find peace in the fact that she is no longer suffering and is enjoying a perfect life in heaven. (Easter sermon is on my mind this morning!)

Great reviews!!! You just inspired us to book the GF Tea for the afternoon of our anniversary! We have a 12 pm lunch and a late dinner at Cali Grill (9:30 pm, fireworks at 11), so we booked a 4:40 pm tea! Perfect! Can't wait, it looked amazing!! Can't wait to read more. Also the MS bakery review was awesome. We may need to to try one of those croissant sandwiches, yum!

I'm very sorry for the tremendous loss all of you are suffering. I am grateful that you are continuing your reviews; you have a gift in the way you use language to evoke the experience.

Speaking of which, I'm a bit annoyed by you at the mo- I had convinced myself that I could sacrifice Raglan Rd for counter service our arrival day at DtD... now I have to go and find some extra cash, because it's becoming an imperative. I have to say, our last experience at RR started out terribly, there was a long wait, we were given an awful table by the entrance, because no one could see anything without getting up my DSLR got knocked off the table and (thankfully only) the filter was broken. However, our server was fantastic. He walked past the table and noticed me (shamefully) crying in the corner, and immediately swept us all to a table in front of the stage, where we all had a truly brilliant evening- everyone was so sweet. Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to hit RR this trip, darn budget...

I just found your reports and read right through. I'm so sorry to hear about all the sadness in your life right now. I can only imagine how difficult a time your friends are having, but knowing you are around and there for them must be a comfort to them.

Subbing to this thread. I just have to say....the idea of splitting a 10 oz steak is just laughable to me. I am a steak FIEND. Example: Two nights ago DBF cooked a 2 1/2 steak on the grill. I ate half. (Actually, he swears I ate more than half... I think he's misSTEAKen) hee hee...bad pun, sorry.

Ok Dawn, after your posts about Gigis I had to go try them out - my DH and I went last weekend and got the Wedding Cake and Princess cupcakes, yum! So now I just got back from picking up a dozen for Mother's Day Weekend festivities with my mother-in-law. Holy Cow, I got 12 different kinds and still didn't get 1 of everything they had today!
