North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Everyone, have a great time!! :cool1:

Eager to read about everyone's experiences!!

What are you guys doing? Your going the wrong way!?! Please talk to the captain on my behalf that us late May cruisers would like to go through the inside passage please;).
Seriously, what happened?
Have a great cruise, even if you are going the wrong way:laughing:

I thought the earlier maps I saw online showed the Wonder going around the island outbound and inside passage on return trip. Am I having a senior moment?

Thank you so much - found the wonder safe and sound and see what you are saying about the route.

Have a great time everyone! Looking forward to seeing Alaska in August. If someone wouldn't mind posting the Personal Navigator when they get back, that would be great!

Enjoy a wonderful Alaskan cruise. Can't wait to hear all the details:goodvibes

Just off the cruise and part way home. Thanks to everyone for a great time! It was a wonderful adventure!

Returned home last night after one very long day of travel. ALASKA was absolutely awesome. We were blessed with great weather too... unheard of that time of the year.

Thanks to all for an awesome cruise!

Did anyone on this sailing do the ABD add-on? If so I'd love to hear about your experience.
thanks so much

They did not offer the ABD add on for this cruise. They wanted to test it first. The first offering is on the second trip.

We are at the Vancouver airport waiting on our flight. Had to do secondary screening at US Customs and Border patrol. There were several other Disney Cruisers that were directed to do the same:confused3

Had a great trip and can't wait till Hawaii.

What an amazing cruise!!!! Alaska is so beautiful. You will not be disappointed. So cool to see whales swimming alongside the ship! We had great weather, made it really far into Tracy Arm and had an overall fantastic time. Since it was the first time the Wonder was going to Alaska, there is a law that required us to go outside of Vancouver Island on the way up... we had some rough seas that day... but sailed the "inside" the whole way back. All future cruises will go northbound and southbound on the east side of the island and sail the entire route on the "inside." Hope that clarifies for those that are asking.

Will write up some more when I have a minute... got to get to work now:)

We loved the Lumberjack Show and thought the shopping in Skagway and Ketchikan was much better than Juneau.

That is SO great to hear!

We watched the Wonder sail off for her second Alaskan cruise last evening, it is strange to be on the wrong side (outside) of the ship. We had a great time, thanks to all for making it special.

Thanks so much, I didn't realize that. Now to wait until the current cruise returns.

Leaving on the May 17th cruise and wanted to see if anyone on the first cruise got an upgrade at the port. If so how much did it cost. We are hoping to get one.

Can't wait to leave. From all the pix of your cruise, Alaska is beautiful.
