'Where's your prince' and will this tale end 'happily ever after'? Sept 11 - Complete

Your meal at Sanaa looks great. I went there with my parents in October and we all loved it as well. That cake Zaheer got looks delicious. I was thinking of getting it but chose something else and then no one else ended up ordering it for me to try! Oh well...

I hope the interview went well :)

I feel so far behind! I can't believe we're coming up to the end of your trip already.

Okay, when you said you were heading to Beaches and Cream, I absolutely knew for sure what you were getting. Good choice! One of my favorite desserts on property for sure. And a napoleon!? What a great snacky treat day.

That is such a pretty dress! It's really lovely! I just love all your cute tops and dresses.

Your meal sounds delish! I love that restaurant. I think the CM's are the best. Both desserts look delish!

Don't you just love AKL - one of my favorite resorts!

I can't believe your last day is almost here.

Glad you enjoyed your meal at Sanaa, my BIL/SIL went there with her sister and BIL when they went in March and enjoyed it too. It is one I am curious about but not sure I will be able to try it anytime soon, there may be others that I would try first.

I wanted to let you know that I did get that job at my old company that I interviewed for. :cool1: I go in Thursday for office/paperwork and then I start Monday. I am so glad, it's been so long.

Sad that your TR is almost over. :sad1:

Wow I can't believe your trip is almost over. I have never been to AKL... I must get there some day

I know, it makes me feel sad again.

You must try and visit AKL one day as it is a beautiful resort!

I had never thought about eating at Sanaa..but after reading your report I think I may add that to the list to try!! It looks like it was really yummy!!

And how cool you got to meet other DISers, I love when that happens!!

I love that dress you have on too, beautiful!! :goodvibes

I would definitely recommend adding Sanaa to the list as it is a great restaurant with lovely food. It was very yummy! :thumbsup2

I loved meeting other DISers and sharing our experiences!

Aaw thank you!! :goodvibes I love that dress as well. With my height it is hard to get maxi dresses that fit so was glad when I found this one.

Good luck on your interview!

Great meet with Tigger and Pooh! :goodvibes

I love your France pics! :thumbsup2 Those details are truly amazing, and it's hard to spot when you're not alone!

Wow that ice cream looks DELISH!! I definitely want to try Beaches and Cream next time!

I'm glad you had a great dinner! Your dress is so pretty!! :goodvibes

Thanks Emma!

I loved my meet with Pooh and Tigger - they are great characters! :goodvibes

The details in France and every other country are amazing and I agree that they are hard to spot if you are not touring alone.

You HAVE to try Beaches and Cream next time round!! I'm pretty sure you would love  the place!

Thanks - I'm glad I booked a dinner at Sanaa and thank you on the dress comment - I really like it as well! :goodvibes

Great update! Sanaa kind of scares me, it seems a little exotic, but whenever I read about it in TR's, people seem to love it!

Yay for your DIS meet, sounds like it was fun! :cool1:

I love your dress! :)

Thanks! You should try Sanaa on a future trip - although there are things on the menu that are a little exotic they also have non-exotic things and could change things if you wanted to leave something off etc.

Meeting Christina and Matt was great!! :goodvibes

Aaw thanks - it is one of my holiday dresses as don't get much chance to wear it in Manchester :)

What a nice DIS meet again! It's nice to hear that you enjoyed your meal there, it looks nice.

Last day!:scared1: Say it ain't so!

Thanks - it was so much fun having all the DIS meets including ours! :goodvibes I loved our meal at Sanaa!

I know! :scared1: It is not our last day as we have departure day (which I don't want to think about) however it is our last full day. I can't believe it is coming to an end either. Makes me want to book another trip!

I've always wanted to try Sanaa, and your meal looked good! Thanks for the tip about eating there for lunch, lol.
Hooray for Dismeets!
Love that dress ;)

You should try Sanaa and the meal was great! No worries - I would love to return for lunch as well :)

Hooray for DIS meets indeed! :cheer2: I am so happy I found these boards before our trip.

Thanks hun! :goodvibes

I can't believe you're already on your last full Disney day. It's going to be sad to see it end, because I've really enjoyed reading your TR.

That rice pudding with mango dessert you got at Sanaa looks sooo good. I have always wanted to try that restaurant out, but DH is way too picky of an eater to dine there. :confused3

It's awesome that you were able to run into so many DISboard members! And it looks like the 4 of you had a nice time chatting. :thumbsup2

I know :sad2: It feels like my trip is coming to an end once again. Aaw thank you for the compliment :goodvibes I have enjoyed writing about the trip as well and in a way it kept the magic going for that much longer!!

That dessert was very good which is part of the reason I managed to finish it even though I had eaten plenty of treats that day! I hope you can convince DH to visit one day or maybe you and your mum could go in May. As I said to Jen there are simple choices on the menu and the chefs are really nice in that they could leave things off a dish as well.

I loved that we met so many members of these boards on our first trip! Yes, we did have a great time chatting :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm glad you all enjoyed it as well and am looking forward to reading the review in your TR! Zaheer enjoyed the cake he ordered - that's a shame you never got to try it but hopefully you can return one day and try it then.

It's this Friday so am hoping it will go well :)

First - two more days? Good luck!

You looked lovely for your dinner - love your dress! I enjoy the full length dress on others, but can't imagine I would enjoy walking in one...it's funny. A friend of mine who is all of five feet lives in them in the summer, and I am 5'8 and prefer shorter lengths.

We haven't tried Sanaa. I love AKL! We will try it on a future trip, but with using the dining plan, I tried this past trip to book all buffets. In the future, we will be able to get apps and or dinner...

Don't worry Danielle! I'm glad you are here now and you had your reasons - one of which was being at Disney World!! I can't believe my TR is coming to an end either though will probably try to drag it out with my favourite moments etc :rotfl:

Haha I knew you would know what I was getting and I had to try it after the reviews in your TRs. I have to say it lived up to its reputation ;) I sure did treat myself on this day with all the yummy treats!!

That is such a pretty dress! It's really lovely! I just love all your cute tops and dresses.

Thanks Mary Ellen! :goodvibes It's really nice to hear your comments on my tops and dresses.

Sanaa sure is great, isn't it? The CMs are the best though all the CMs we encountered on this trip were so helpful. I was a bit worried after having read some negative reviews but there was no need to worry. The desserts are my favourite part of a meal!

I can see why AKL would be on of your favourite resorts - it sure is very nice and I would love to stay there one day.

I know - it's making me sad :sad2: Oh well, I'll just have extra time to enjoy your TRs as well as other DISers :goodvibes

Thanks! I would recommend Sanaa but can understand about wanting to try other places first. I'm glad your BIL/SIL enjoyed it on their visit.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: that is EXCELLENT news!!! I am SOO happy for you!! Hope the start on Monday goes well though I'm sure you'll be just fine :goodvibes I know what you mean about it being too long - I really hope I have good news next week as well as not sure how much longer I can go on without permanent work.

I'm sad as well :sad2:

Thanks Debby! :goodvibes I have been preparing and am hoping this'll be the one as I have a good feeling about it but we shall see...

Aaw thank you hun! Lol as I mentioned earlier with my height it is hard to find a maxi dress that actually fits and is the right length. My mum can hem up trousers etc but it is hard to do anything with full length dresses! I don't mind either - am happy with short or full length dresses. You should try a maxi one as you never know...you may just love it!

AKL is such a beautiful resort and dinner at Sanaa was really nice as well. I can understand booking buffets with the dining plan and hope you get to try Sanaa on a future trip.

Hi everyone and happy Friday!! Hope you all have a great weekend :goodvibes

Before I start my next update I wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes with the interview - it actually went rather well. I find out if I am successful on Monday or Tuesday so will let you know the outcome.

I can't believe I'm starting to write about my final full day...

I woke up early as wanted to make the opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom. I woke Zaheer, had a shower and got ready. We walked to the bus stop and waited in the queue. I'm not sure how long we waited for a bus but we made it to MK for 8.45am. After getting through bag check we waited to see the ceremony. It was very crowded so I got a couple of shots from further back.

It was really nice to see the ceremony and I was singing along however as I like my sleep too much I'll probably not be rushing to get up early again!! Although I keep seeing TRs where DISers have made early reservations and got to wonder the parks with next to no people. I would love to experience that one day but am not sure if I can bring myself to lose out on my beauty sleep!! :rotfl:

We had an ADR for Crystal Palace however had about 10 minutes to spare so decided to go and get FPs for Space Mountain. We had toured half the park on our previous trip so were focusing this visit on Tommorowland and Fantasyland.

We noticed that Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin had a 5 minute wait so decided to go on this whilst we were in the area.

I look awful in the red neck photo and am not sure what I was focusing on (think it was the scores) but thought I'd share it anyway.

Any guesses to who won?? It definitely wasn't me! I don't have a record of the scores however I know there was a big difference between them!

We had to get the obligatory photo with Emperor Zurg.

Lol I look like I'm yawning in the first shot! The second one looks a bit better but then Zaheer looks too happy at being put in jail! :lmao:

We walked back to Crystal Palace and had a small wait before being seated.

I had a feeling I was going to enjoy this breakfast and boy did I enjoy the food, service and characters!! I would love to have breakfast here again!

DSCF1693-1.jpg

Trying to patiently wait for Piglet and Tigger...can you tell how excited I am to be meeting them?!!

DSCF1695-1.jpg

I love Piglet - he's so cute :lovestruc

Tigger was next and full of beans as usual!

I loved meeting Eeyore and Pooh as well.

The food was delish and I loved the Puffed French toast though they were very filling and I only managed to eat one. I didn't think much of the chocolate Mickey Waffles - they were a bit meh though the original ones were the best! I was sad that this would be the last time I'd be trying Mickey waffles for a while :sad2:

We spent quite a bit of time here - think it was nearing 12 by the time we left!

Coming up: Where would we be heading to next?

Hi Tanz! I'm sad to see it's your last full day :guilty: lol - good choice with Magic Kingdom though, it's nearly always the last park we visit on our trips :wizard:

With the pre-opening breakfast ADRs, they work really well with the jet lag on the first few days of the trips.. might be easier for you to wake up for them :cutie: - I've loved being at Magic Kingdom (Crystal Palace) and Animal Kingdom (Tusker House) when they are almost empty!

Hope you have a great weekend and your job search is going well :goodvibes

Emma princess: x

Nice photos of the opening ceremony! We've only seen it once as all the other times we've gone into the park early for ADR's.

I do not do well on Buzz, I can't seem to hit the targets hardly at all. TSM is much more my game! LOL

LOVE, Love the Crystal Palace! We enjoyed breakfast there in the past. It's so nice to sit and gaze out into the park while waiting for Pooh and the gang.

So sad it's your last full day!! :sad2: You've had an amazing trip, though!! OMG I looooove CP breakfasts!!!! Sooo good!! I agree with the orignal mickey waffles being wayyy better than the chocolate ones!! :goodvibes I can't wait to hear about the rest of your day!

Hey Tanz! I've been pretty bad about posting on here lately but I've still been following along. I was so glad we got to meet you guys. Even though you were late to dinner you had perfect timing because we had just finished our meal when you arrived. That gave us more time to talk. Thank you for the offer to come visit. I so wish we could afford to. One of these days maybe we'll be able to get across the pond haha. It stinks that you are already on your final full day. That just means it's time to start thinking about the next trip haha.;)

Aww, your last day. :( Always so sad but yay for going to the Magic Kingdom. haha, I think it would be worth getting up early once so you can see the park with hardly anybody there. ;)

Glad you enjoyed the breakfast at CP. I will have to try it sometime. It does sound good!

So sad... last day. I hate when I have to plan my last day and I haven't even had our first day...it rushes the trip!

Great pics--again... I love the one of you with Tigger. You look so happy!

Hoping Monday or Tuesday brings great news!!

Wow it's your last day already? This TR flew by!'

Glad you made it to rope drop! It's not fun getting up early on vacation, but to see MK rope drop, it's worth it! It's also nice to get in the park before everyone and get those castle pics with no one else in them! :thumbsup2

Glad you liked CP, it's one of my favorites! The characters are so cute, and the food is great!

Yum yum yum, Crystal Palace. I'm an early riser when I'm at WDW, but not typically early enough to catch the morning shows at the parks. However, I am a huge fan of early breakfast reservations. You're absolutely right, it does give you a great chance to see the park without lots of people there.

I've never seen a MK opening ceremony, can you believe that? Next time I swear I will.
Mmmm Crystal Palace breakfast... drooling a little now.

Aahhh, Crystal Palace...great breakfast choice!
And Winnie the Pooh characters are great, it looks like you both had a fun time interacting with them. :thumbsup2

That's awesome that you got to see the opening ceremony on your last Disney day.
