Speedo okay in Rainforest Room?

What do women wear in the rainforest room?

I wear a one piece but then, i'm older. to be honest, I have never seen anyone in anything skimpy. not sure why you would unless its the only swimwear you brought with you. I mean, the sun doesn't shine in there so not like your looking to get a great tan.
again, all I have ever seen is more modest suits. maybe I have just missed the shows though. who knows.

I wear a bikini. I would prefer separate spa areas so we could go nude - as is typical with spas. The whole coed spa thing is a bit strange for me.

Speedos don't bother me. Heck, you can wear a g-string, if you want. I'll snicker though. But that is very considerate of you for asking.
:thumbsup2

Two men were walking on the beach in speedos. One man was getting ooohs and ahhhhs from the women. The man that wasn't getting the attention asked his friend. "Hey, how come all these women are fawning all over you on the beach", to which his friend replied "Easy, potato in the Speedo man!"

Well the next day, the guys were walking down the beach again, and the women were running away screaming. "I don't get it, I used the potato as you suggested!" remarked the previously ignored man. His friend replied:

"Dude, the potato is suppose to be in the front".

UG!!!! my stepdad used to tell this joke ALL THE TIME :rotfl:

As long as you are covered to what DCL requires it doesn't matter whether others are comfortable with it or not. It's your vacation and your comfort is what should matter the most to you.

Opinions on appropriate clothing for all occasions/places will vary so widely you will never be able to please everyone and I don't really see why you should as long as you are following the rules/guidelines and are happy with your choice.

This is definitely the funniest thread since the polite laundry one. Thanks for posting! :lmao:

Wearing a Speedo in the Rain Forest Room would not bother me -- it's an adult only area. Just not at the main pools and Castaway.

Most people use the robes to go from one area to another (sauna/showers/steam) anyway. I didn't see anyone strutting from one venue to another.

DH will be wearing his speedo, and I will be wearing my skimpiest bikini.

IMHO, the spa experience is best for as much skin exposure as possible. (all vitals will be properly covered).

LOL, a few people seeing me in the Rainforest Room is a little different than the entire DIS family! But if you say please.... j/k

:rotfl: Thanks for the good sportsmanship of the teasing! :goodvibes You do what feels right for you.

P.s. Please :rotfl2:

Kind of OT, but I'll never forget my first experience at a sauna at a hotel in Germany. I walked into a room of buck-naked people.

I backed out with a shocked "Ep!"

I could just imagine them shaking their heads muttering "Americans!"

I wouldn't really be comfortable wearing it in front of kids. And I don't mind the regular shorts doing normal things. I just don't think big baggy swim shorts would be all that comfortable in a steam room.

Very good point! Makes me wish I had one to take with me on our upcoming cruise. Never thought I'd want to wear one unitl a trip to Fire Island last summer, felt very over dressed in board shorts.

There will be more that a couple of guys in speedos around the pools, usually european and normally don't look like their countries international swim teams!

We are quite the prudes in comparison to some of our European cousins. :rotfl2:

Isn't that the truth?!! We went on a tour, and the bus stopped in the middle of nowhere and a bunch of men just lined up in front of the bus (facing away) and started peeing.

I figured "When in Rome...." so when we went on long trips, we'd pull over and I'd let me son get out and pee. Problem is, when we returned to the States, I caught him peeing in the bushes at a public pool :rotfl2: We were persona non grata after that incident!!

ewwww no. Thanks for asking but have to give an honest opinion. (and that's all it is) . and as far as fire island, well it depends what section you were at:scared1: (not that there's anything wrong with that,jerry):rotfl2:

It's just a bathing suit. Especially in the RR I don't see any problem with it. :confused3
