My friend and I are meeting at YC on Saturday. I am flying and arriving on Magical Express but she is driving from Georgia. The room is in my name but she is on the reservation. I have done online check in.

My question is: if she gets there first, can she check in and go to the room if it is ready?

As long as her name is on the reservation, yes, she can check-in first.

I just had to share. We are now paid in full!!! May 18th please hurry up and get here!!!!

I do have a question what is everyone's thoughts about checking in online? We have only done it once and our room was ready and we were upgraded but this is when we stayed at WL. We have never stayed at YC and I really want to get a good room location.

Thanks for any advice.

YEAH!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

As I mentioned yesterday, we decided to upgrade to CL at YC in October and booked a garden vw room. As I was digging around the thread last night, I thought I read that there is only 5 garden vw CL rooms at YC, is this true? I was also trying to figure out where these rooms would be in comparison to the lounge and elevators since I know nothing about the YC layout. Anyone know? TIA.

Yep, there are only five. Just try to figure out which ones look over the courtyard and don't have a roof or water or parking lot view. Good Luck!

Is that all I have to do??? Sounds like a piece of cake :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just paid off trip on Disney Visa! Getting a few bucks more on the rewards card for the trip.

How soon should I call the Club Level people to discuss our reservation and DDprincess: service dog? Trip starts June 9!
Can't wait for this trip. We need this bad.
Been a hard year, buried mother in law in January :(and now my amazing father this week. :( We need a break.

My condolences for your losses. Disney World is an excellent place to help feed your soul. You can call the CL line any time to discuss your trip with them and any special considerations you might need.

We will be there the same time as you! I can't wait!!!

Very sorry for your loss, sounds like a rough year.

You brought up a good question that I've been meaning to ask... once you book CL (we upgraded after the sale), does anyone contact you from the hotel or do you contact them? I was under the impression that the concierge sends you a welcome email at some point but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks!

Oh Coachyo, I'm so sorry, that's so sad to read. I hope things start looking up very soon. :)

So for some reason I got a detailed reservation confirmation today thru my email :confused3 It's all correct, has info for magical express, dining plan, etc and I was pleased to see...my room request!:

10/21/2014 HOTEL
BEACH CLUB-GARDEN
PLEASE NOTE: GUEST REQ. COURTYD/LK SIDE

Does it matter that they entered "courtyard lakeside" instead of "lakeside courtyard?" :rotfl: (I realize how crazy that sounds). Sorry for the silly questions, I've never done this before.

Now being able to see this is on my reservation, would you still recommend faxing the same request 4 days before we arrive? Thanks all! :)

Tomorrow is our last day to clear the wait list for BCV for our May trip. So hoping it comes through.

Even if we don't make this Be Our Guest list, we still have our BOG lunch reservation I was able to secure today.

Just back from the opening night performance of Night at the Wax Museum. I survived!

But I'm exhausted and I have a cold and we still have 4 more shows to do in 3 days! (Ben has 5 shows- they are doing Music Man for the school tomorrow)

So it will be awhile before I can catch up on the thread, but I did want to point you to the direction of where you can find info on the YC CL GV rooms. I have descriptions, room numbers and some pictures in the Yacht Club Room View thread (on the Resorts Photo Subforum). If you find the Disneyzone map, I believe I have linked it to the Yacht Club section on Page 1, you can figure out where these rooms are.

I can help more next week.

:goodvibes

Hi! We are staying at BCV for 2 short nights before our upcoming cruise. This will be our first time at this resort and I can't wait to check it out. :cool1:

I do have a question about the boat to DHS. We would like to make rope drop, and preferably be at the gates by 8:30. When should we be at the boat dock that morning?

My kids are young and we are attempting no stroller this trip, so I would like to save their legs for the park...and my back. ;)

Thanks!

Feel better soon Dee. Glad you survived opening night.

Oh no ... hang in there. Our Dee can't ever get sick!!!!! Get better quick!

Your crazy busy schedule will hopefully chase whatever bug got you right away. There's not much that can keep up with you.

So sorry off your losses. This trip will be just what you need. :-). I would go ahead and contact them and they can help you with all your needs. :-)

Thanks Teena!!!

I think I read you won't be there this weekend- is that right?

That's right. We board the Disney Fantasy tomorrow morning. I think the sun and salt water will be helpful to my sinus infection and COPD. It's been a real rough winter and Bob thought being at my happy place ... Castaway Cay ... would be better than all the medicines in the world.

I also upgraded my trip to CL last October and never received anything from so I contacted them. :-). They said sometimes when you make a change to CL it doesn't generate the report to them for some reason.
I wish I had the phone number to link but I'm not that talented. Lol. I think it's in the CL section in the first few pages though. :-)
