Best Fish Extender gift received?

My last Caribbean cruise I enjoyed receiving plastic buckets with shovels for the kids (they were personalized with their names on the buckets) as well as a paintbrush (handle was painted with Mickey and ribbon) for brushing sand off of feet at Castaway! Also some clever person gave a small magnetic christmas wreath with light up christmas lights on it, to put on our door! There were so many amazing gifts.

Right now I am working on a "Laundry" kit for my FE gifts - it will be a pop-up hamper, Tide pods, dryer sheets and Mickey decorated clothes pins. Im trying to figure out a way to decorate the pop up hampers. My upcoming cruise is a long one so I think it will get good use. I'm really enjoying putting them together!

I see a lot of people complaining about how they don't like the "candy" for gifts. We received some theater size milkduds and twizzlers along with some "pirates booty" (puff corn basically) as an FE on the Dream and we went to see Big Hero 6 and took it with us. Saved me from having to shell out $ for theater snacks, so I was thrilled! I personally enjoyed getting the candy for that very reason. Was it my most memorable gift? No, but we enjoyed it regardless. And DS could've cared less if you'd put a rock in a baggie and left it in our FE.....he just enjoyed coming back to the stateroom and finding stuff had been left. It was like Christmas morning every time you came back to the stateroom.

I'm starting to get really nervous about our upcoming cruise as it's the first time we've taken part in FE and because we are flying from England for the Caribbean cruise I don't have the space or weight for big gifts and I'm not very crafty.

I'm worried my gifts won't be good enough, the ones I've read about on here sound amazing, I don't want to let my group down

You need not worry! The FE is about having fun, and the excitement of it all! In all honestly, most of what we got didn't come home with us, but that's ok, because it was fun! Coming from England, I would honestly get some super delicious English candy and give that. Because Candy. Also, because English candy. OMG yum.

My kids would love candy for the movie theater or to top their ice cream. They also love trying candy from other countries.

One of the very best FE gifts we ever got were the UP Ellie Badges....tiny little things.... but we wore them every night to dinner and have worn them to many parties and events since.

Aussie cookies were great. I don't remember the name, but they were nummy.

If the Aussie cookies were oat and golden syrup based, then they are called Anzac biscuits. Very yum and easy to make.

Have not cruised yet, but some things that I would love to get: lanyards, light cards, personalized beach bag, pens, highlighters, small toys for my 4 year old who always needs some kind of toy to play with, beach toys (like bucket and shovel that I would not pack because of the size). I would also love a coaster or cup or something to take home.

Candy is fine, as long as it is good candy. Not what I call penny candy (which costs more than a penny now)- like tootsie rolls, dum dums and smarties. But if its good stuff like movie candy or something that is somewhat unique to your area, then I would love it. That is not to say that if someone gives me dum dums and smarties that I am going to snub them, but it is not very imaginative.

You can do whatever you like. A family gift, individual gifts, anything goes. I am giving a family gift and additional individual gifts for the kids on my next cruise
