Just to make conversation while we're waiting for the menu... I have a feeling the fare at MA won't be the typical U.S. Chinese restaurant offerings. Those expecting chicken fried rice and egg rolls may be disappointed. That's not to diss that type of thing, I like it a lot, I'm just betting on something more unique. :earsboy:

Still worried about this one.... I HAVE to see the menu, as they have announced DDP participation. DDP participation generally clips menu offerings to the "2 credit" level of compensation, and kills fine dining offerings above that level. Hoping this Restaurant will either go to THREE credits, do "prix fixe DDP with add ons", or issue separate menus'. Going to wait before we book.

If you look at his other locations it isn't the typical menu, but everything looks amazing! We can't wait to see the menu and are hoping to score a ressie while we are there!

Eat there early before they figure out how many people they are expected to feed for the poor reimbursement and dumb down the menu

Shoot! We, too, were hoping the restaurant wouldn't participate in the darn dining program (DDP). Then we wouldn't have to go off property for good food.
(Heavy sigh) we had such high hopes...

I am pretty much an offsite or Swan/Dolphin diner now. But if I can work this in during my trip in October I may try it. Generally they start out well and then realize that more of the diners then they expected are using the DDP so they have to start making cuts. (I think Disney must tell them "you won't get that many diners" LOL!)

I'm sure that if on DDP, their menu won't be as extensive as their other locations. But I doubt they will reinvent the wheel, and expect the menu will look something like the one in Philly or NY.

Agreed with SM101 - probably a shorter/more condensed menu w/o reinventing all the recipes/offerings from other locations if on DDP.

Joining the wait - this one will be a good one.

Are you sure it is going to be added to the dining plan? The WDW website says Dining Plan NOT Accepted.

My guess is that it is similar to how certain restaurants aren't listed for the DP at first when the changes for the following year are announceduntil all the contracts are finalized. Nobody can be sure of anything until the official announcements but we sure can hope.

Chef Morimoto is working with the Patina Restaurant Group. My understanding is the menu was "dumbed down" from the conception. I can only hope they at least have Omakase.
