Is This a Sign Of Things To Come?

I am on Disney watch tonight and noticed there is a new entry in the MK Dinning.
Disney Early Morning Magic – Fantasyland
Experiences VaryPrices VaryMagic Kingdom Park
Table Service

You can not click on on it and the picture say place holder. So is this a sign of more expensive options and the death of free EMH?

Groan! The hits just keep coming. I'll guess that someone took notice of how many people have been booking pre-park opening breakfasts in order to get a jump on the lines. So now, they'll make it an official offering, with a much higher price tag. Just my speculation, obviously. The Powers That Be are certainly trying to figure out how to squeeze every last penny from the WDW visitors in order to make up for Shanghai.

I am right there with you thinking the same thing! After what was released today I would not be a bit surprised!

I don't even know what to say anymore...the "perks" of staying onsite are being stripped away. You can park for free, however, if you get there early you still don't get a close parking spot unless you pay to "upgrade". You can stay in the park late....but you need to pay to do it...you can watch our wonderful night time shows...but if you don't pay for a premium dining package, you ain't seeing it except from way at the back or side with an obstructed view. You can watch our fireworks...but if you actually want to see them well, you need to pay a premium and eat dessert.....it keeps going and going....

There is also a similar entry for "Magic Kingdom Special Activities" but with no picture placeholder.

On the thread about DAH, someone posted that the leak of info on that event was only one part of a bigger announcement; guess we know now what the other part is! Premium price for early EMH hours in Fantasyland only. Pre-park BOG breakfast is going to look like a steal!

There is also a Hollywood Studios Special Activities one as well as an Animal Kingdom Special Activities one

I seriously at first wanted to scream now all I want to do is cry. I usually love the planning stage but this trip I can not wait for it just to happen before Disney can ruin even more of the strategic planning that I have spent months perfecting. My Mk day is one of the few days Disney has added the after hours to. Since Disney has taken away the FP for wishes I went ahead and booked the Desert Party but now even that will not help much with added crowds. I also had BOG scheduled for a pre park opening on two days just in case Disney changed hours. After what they pulled today I was tempted to switch my Mk day to the other day I have BOG booked but now I am afraid to do anything because I do not know what is coming next. I feel like I am out at sea waiting for the next wave it roll over my head.

No one knows, but just say this is it. Early dining for early park access. Yeah, it is trying to squeeze every penny out of people I agree, but also maybe closing loopholes in a flawed system. They need to stop this extra FP stuff too. While people love taking advantage of loopholes, them doing so makes things like this happen.

Yep that is it! You got a great screen shot of it!

What makes them stand out is they are all under Dining. And the special stuff we know about is listed so not that.

These don't say the same but not sure what they are.

Just thinking out loud but given the MK event, could it be possible PrePark Opening meals will come at a premium.

I was thinking this as well. Since I already have BOG booked for a pre park opening I wonder how they would work that one. Possibly charge me to just come into the park early for my ADR.......
Starting to wonder if I am living in the Twight Zone or a nightmare lol!!!

Thanks for the screen shots! This did have me worried, although to be honest we don't know that they're doing away with EMH at all. This might be the followup to that test they did at Disneyland, where they let guests come in and be honorary Jungle Cruise skippers before the park opened (for a fee of course!). There was a hint I heard that there could be other experiences open up if that was successful.

Let's hope anyway.

The fact that World Showcase is included in the list really makes me think it MIGHT not have anything to do with EMH.

(Edit: I don't know the effect it might have on early morning meals though... when did they start letting people make early reservations before the park opened? Is that something new from the past few years? Forgive my ignorance.)

The screen shots are from things that have been added for a while now. They are just place savers for future events. The one I am referring to is a new one that just poped up tonight and is strictly referring to early morning magic at Fantasyland. Yes Disney has had pre park openings at some of the restaurants such as BOG and Akershus for a while now. I know Akershus had it since may 2014 because many were using it to get a in the front line of the Elsa and Anna meet in greet when it was in Epcot.

No folks have booked these breakfasts prepark open for years. Especially MK for photos on empty Main Street. Then BOG started breakfast and it was way cheaper than castle or CP plus great way to get jump on 7DMT and A&E. When they were at Epcot folks booked there.

This new thing for MK one is in Fantasyland? Under Table Service Dining. CRT is pretty set. Could it be something special at BOG? I mean at this point with new price and ala carte cupcake they can't be making money.

Key is they are ALL under DINING.

I did also notice a VIP tour which may have been around for awhile but it seems to be for each park or you can park hop cost is $400 to $600 and hour. This is under events and tours. These VIP areas I bet are the ones where the FP areas use to be. So now instead of a FP perk you can pay $400 to $600 an hour for parades, shows and rides! What a bargain!!

The VIP Tours have been around for a while. We do 2 premium tours each vacation (one at MK, the second is an EP/DHS split). The Ultimate Thrill and Ultimate Family tours are newer additions with pre-selected attractions, whereas a premium tour allows the party to select what they want to do.

If you do not mind me asking is that price per person per hour?
