1) I remember RS's posting style from years ago.
2) I have shamelessly copied RS's posting style many times.
3) But I draw the line at the ellipses. It makes the declarative statements look a little wish washy.

We have special tickets and ARE attending the show on Monday night, and will write a review.

Can I ask how you got these tickets? I just wondered if it is because you are press, a Disney blogger etc? Or a cast member? I want to know how close we are getting and knowing how important you are may help :)

This is a CM preview. Rusty is a CM or at least was.

If this opens before December 24th, this is going to throw my fastpasses and my schedule completely off unless the dining package opens for it at the same time. It would be great to change a Tiffins reservation to include the dining package. I've been on three trips since the delay, and I want to see this show so much! I saw the Jungle Book show once, and I said I would never see it again.

Will the ROL show affect the closing times of AK? I have reservations for dinner at 6 at Yak and Yeti for my January trip. Park is supposed to close at 7. Wondering when the show will be, and if I should change my reservation to catch it?

That will be your judgement. Everyone is assuming that there will be 2 shows a night. I assume the sun will go down around 5 p.m, but haven't been to Florida in December yet to really know. In that case, there could possibly be a show at 5:30 p.m. and one at 7 p.m. We won't know more until Disney assigns an opening date.

Sunset on December 24, 2016 is at 5:36pm for Lake Buena Vista, FL. (That's the closest "city" to Disney World.) Twilight ends at 6:02pm. That's when most people will consider it to be "night".

Total guess, but if Rivers of Light is up and running, I'd expect that park hours will be extended. That's especially true for the busy time frame of Christmas and New Year's.

I cant wait to see this show i hope its running either late January or feburary when i am going to wdw

A number of reviews coming from CM's in attendance tonight, and it looks great, it sounds like there's still a number of technical issues that need to be addressed.

Based on my twitter feed, this was MUCH more than a CM preview. Lots of Disney bloggers there (maybe they were there as guests as CM'a but regardless, guests were very much allowed), including WDWMagic. Did anyone from Disboards get invited?

I'm seeing both good things and bad things - that the show is a technical marvel and is worth the wait AND that there were big technical issues and two floats collided.

On WDWMagic, they said it was a cast preview, but each CM got to bring a guest, which is how bloggers, TA's, etc. were able to attend.

They were guests of CMs.

There was a short pause on the show to fix something.

I am also hearing either people are impressed and love the technology or are just it's ok. Nobody really said it was awful and they hated it.

Wdwmagic said that it's AK's version of illuminations. Many felt it lacked a cohesive story but you could say the same for illuminations.

Basically to sum up the reviews. Rivers of light is a technological marvel. It's worth the wait in that aspect. Still has a few issues that needs to be resolved. Lacks a wow moment.

Also about 18 minutes long.
Have not seen that yet, Thanks!

From the review I heard, the show tonight had an e-stop on one of the barges midway through the show. When a barge e-stops, its systems halt but the momentum allows it to continue in the direction it was headed when the control system stopped... which caused a collision with another barge. They then restarted the show from the beginning. The second attempt went as planned. So they got to see 1 1/2 shows tonight. The attendee really liked the show, but said it lacked enough "meat" to really tie it all together. They liked the music and effects, but said it was like a really cool 20 minute scene change.
