Yeah it's a little easier. You get one login / card, but can get an extra card for other people titled on the contract. Other contracts (in the same UY and titled the same) just tack onto the same login. I bought some extra points and am just waiting for them to hit my account... don't care when the paperwork gets here. In fact getting the card in the first place wasn't automatic. I had to wait for the letter, set up a login, see them online, then request the card. It came in a couple days. You can start booking as soon as you get your # tho. The card is just for perks like the dining discount when you're traveling, so there's really no urgency to get your card right off.

I think it's like anything resale. Whether it's a house, car, or toy. People will list them for absurd prices to cheap prices and everything in between. Just depends on the attachment, motivation to sell, reality check of the seller, expectation to list high and bargain down, etc. I don't think the seller or broker cares if Disney buys it... They get the same money, same commission. You found someone who wanted to sell fast, and Disney happened to want the deal you got. Doesn't mean you shouldn't keep looking for good deals. Disney won't take them all.

There's one person who reported hearing back on a weekend in January. I'm getting pretty anxious, too, but I think you'll hear late next week. My contract was submitted on 1/31 (despite what I was initially told), and I heard on Tuesday that there was a typo and Disney needed an addendum. They should be looking at yours now, but 10-14 days seems to be the norm right now.

First contract, obviously it's "stripped" but that works fine for us because our next trip isn't until October 2018 anyway and it's nice to not have to pay the 2017 maintenance fees.
