I'm sorry, did somebody say Mojito?
Mojitos are my favorite!
You are my people!
Are mojitos a featured drink at POR?

I have had them at the pool bar at both POR and POFQ . Of course things can change .I'd expect a hurricane at POR, it's what I drink when in NOLA - they go down nice and easy. Mojitos would be a nice addition.
So I am excited to stay at POR for the first time this summer. We are staying in a RR Garden view.....girl's only trip for me and DD ,celebrating her 10th bday (thus the Royal Room). Looking at the resort map I see a thin green line crossing the river, right between the Oak and Parterre buildings - I assume that is a bridge to cross? If so, that Oak Manor building would be a fabulous location!
We love the royal rooms. I wouldn't worry about the reptiles. We've seen a few here and there but in the grounds and not near the room. It is simply a beautiful resort. Have fun!Hello all. My family and I (fam of 3) are planning our next trip and I think we've all decided on POR since our home CSR will be under renovation. I have scanned through some of the posts but not all of them since there are almost 300 of them. I was wondering how many people have stayed in the royal rooms? This caught MY eye as my guys could care less about the decor but I want to sleep in magic! Also, the scenery looks so pretty with all the foliage but I'm a little paranoid and wanted to see if there was anyone who came across reptilia. LOL I realize we vacation in the land of magic AND reptiles but I'd rather do away with not seeing any! Everything else looks fantastic since we'll be doing half days at the parks lining up with EMH. I want us to fully take in the resort and all it has to offer with movie nights, lazy days at the pool, exploring the resort, etc
I would make a reservation.I'm considering dining at Boatwright's the evening of my arrival day. Do I absolutely need an ADR or are my chances pretty good of landing a walk up? That day is a play it by ear for dining on my end.
Oh, they make a good Mojito in the lounge!I'd expect a hurricane at POR, it's what I drink when in NOLA - they go down nice and easy. Mojitos would be a nice addition.
Anyone there now and can post the March recreation guide? Thanks so much!
I think this activity guide is for French Quarter, correct? Does anyone have Riverside? Thanks!
No, the beignets are at french Quarter, but it's not that long of a walk.
Yes, you can get deliveries from Amazon or garden grocer. I believe there may be a $5 charge now from Disney for deliveries

You have to remember that the Moderate resorts have no internal corridors so you access your room via a shared outside walkway which runs all the way around each building.
Yes.Wait a second, according to portorleans.org

Does this mean that even in the mansion buildings, access to the rooms is outside?
Yes.
You can see in the layout that the window is next to the door.
