Disney 2018

We are 5 as well. We haven't been since 2013 Ans are on the 5 year plan, lol! My DH went to Orlando for work last October and FaceTimed us from the WOD so we could pick what we wanted. He is probably going back this October which we couldn't even go for the weekend d/t HS soccer and then he said next March.

We will stay at the Poly again and I am possibly going to do a DVC just for the 2 bathrooms.

We booked our trip around the end of the school year for the kids and comp soccer tryouts - I'm not looking forward to being there in the heat of June. We are going to do rope drop, swim in the afternoon, and return to a park in the evening - at least with 11 nights I won't feel rushed. Two bathrooms would be nice, but my kids are just happy that they don't have to fight over who sleeps on the air mattress. Two of my kids have been to WDW in the last few years with their grandma and my husband and I haven't been since 1997 when I was a cast member at Disneyland. It will be the first time for my youngest, but we are seasoned Disneyland Resort folks.

Currently planning a 1 day trip in January, then a 3 night cruise on the Dream. This will be our first time at MK (and Disney Springs) and my first cruise. Gonna be there January 4th, so trying to work out weather & other details. Planning a WDW vacation is so much more complicated than a DL trip!!

We have our dates locked in and started our split direct deposit from work into the "Disney Account" like we always do about a year out. We are planning on the poly for 2 weeks in june of 2018

Planning our first spit stay in May 2018! Starting at Port Orleans French Quarter, then the Contemporary Resort.

Yeah...I booked at 499 days out. We are a party of 5 and if I want to control my costs I'm limited to POR or CBR, so I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted ;). We are flying from CA and a kid will be graduating from HS in a couple of years, so we are doing a long trip.

We are planning on going to the Kennedy Space Center for a day too.

I was in Riverside a couple years ago, and I loved it! I went with my girlfriend and her three kids. Back then, the middle kid slept on the Murphy bed; she was the shortest of the three at the time. Funny enough, the height of the three kids is now backwards from their ages (the oldest is now the shortest, the youngest is the tallest).

That said, anyone who's shorter than 5' should be OK using that bed. If everyone is at least 5'4" or so, that bed may be too small for anyone. Try it out when your family gets there.

That being said, I'm coming to Riverside at the beginning of January! I looked that other hotels, but none of them fit, so PO-R it is!

Edit: I have awful grammar at 2am

we are planning for May following our cruise on the Dream, and we are staying at the Polynesian Resort :cloud9:

I'm going this July for five days with cousins, staying off site. We are planning a ten day family trip for July/August 2018 for my grandson's HS graduation. It will be my daughter, her three children and a friend. My son, his wife and child. My other son, solo, and me. It will be the first time since all the kids are grown that we will be doing a vacation together. I'm so psyched! We will probably stay at POP. We all like it there and the value is good.

Planning a trip the second week of June for DD's 13th birthday & taking SIL & her family of seven. We've been planning this trip for two years already. We'll be staying at All-Star Sports in three rooms.

Any one else following the Free Dining Post? I want to see what comes out this year as a guide to next year. So far, everyone is waiting...with eager anticipation and a bit of anxiety! It keeps me excited!

I just got back from first trip to Disney World with family that lives on the east coast. I'm a Disneyland veteran and loved it. So much so that I already booked a trip to go back next year at the end of January. Going to be staying at the Boardwalk Villas with rented DVC points.

I'm waiting with the FD hopefuls to see what the offers are this year, to try and guess what they might be for next year! Everyone is excited with anticipation! It keeps me in the Disney loop. I think people are sick of me talking about it. My sister is going this year with her grandkids for spring break. She isn't excited at all! I mean, she'll definitely enjoy seeing her grandkids having fun, but she has no interest in Disney. She's not sure which days she's even going. She doesn't care about any of the rides or where they are going to eat. It's just mind boggling to me, but I guess she just isn't Disney material...LOL.

Why is booking a Disney Vacation so darn complicated? Maybe I should start a new post on this topic!

We're planning on a 9-day trip in late August 2018; we haven't been to WDW since 2007! We are very excited and just starting to figure out our budget and where to stay. I'd love to stay in a studio at BC and have looked into renting points, but we may end up at AOA or AS. We're just excited to finally be able to look forward to a Disney trip :)

First post from me in forever, glad to be back!

June 2018 for us, celebrating our daughter's high school graduation. Told my daughter yesterday to start figuring out where she wants to stay as we will be able to book in a few months, so we are starting to get excited. That's the beauty of Disney vacations...you get to plan them for a full year ahead of time...really get your money's worth!

We'll be doing a 4 day Disney Cruise from 1/8-1/12, followed by 4 days at WDW! This will be our first ever cruise, and second time at WDW. I'm super excited - and actually have most of our itinerary planned already! I'm hoping to rent dvc points for CCV at WL, but those won't be available until the end of April, at the earliest. I SO want to do the Star Wars Guided Tour at HS, I really hope they extend it through next year. I had planned to go to DS to see cirque du soleil - I am SO disappointed that we're going to miss it by just 2 weeks!

In the (very) early planning stages for renting DVC points the week after Thanksgiving in 2018. Really having a hard time deciding between Poly and Wilderness Lodge. I want to book right at 11 months out but thankfully, I still have a while to decide for that lol!

There is a possibility that La Nouba will be replaced by one of the travelling shows, but if not, you have an excuse to spend another day in the parks. :)
I also have quite a bit of our trip planned, although I am trying to get my husband to sit down to review it with me. I would hate to make ADRs and then find out I had overlooked something crucial to life, like a need to eat Mexican food ;) Fortunately, travelling in January means we will have some flexibility if we need to change, but I would rather get it right the first time.
